I miss Tony Snow a lot! Recently, the 2nd anniversary of his death either passed or will pass. Hard to believe that he is gone and wish he was still around.

Does this mean FOX is now officially a REAL new organization?
Wonder if they will ever be “called on” though.

Don't cheer yet folks. FOX News has a few DEM loyalist reporters in it's rank and file. It won't be too great for example if Geraldo is the occupant.

The title does not say that it’s Thomas’ seat.

It did at one point. Just check out DU. They had the same article/title posted on their site.

I know, but it hadn’t been corrected here.
It’s been corrected now.

Yes, I like him, too. He's fearless Fosdick in spectacles.
I couldn't think of his name, a mental block, and I didn't have time to look it up.
But Griff Jenkins IS the dude!
Thanks,
Leni

Oh, this is rich! Helen Thomas must be livid. (But then again, how could one tell?)

Griff Jenkins...love this guy.
Now Griff Jenkins would be perfect for the job...no signs of fear or hesitancy in his eyes or voice. His manner and delivery are spot on. And like a dog with a bone, he keeps at it til he gets what he wants.
I hope Fox considers him for greater things.

They better ask for a new seat to be installed. I wouldn’t sit on it wearing a HAZMAT suit.

The 2010-2011 WHCA board includes representatives from USA Today, Reuters, C-SPAN, the New York Times, Politico, Time Magazine, NPR and the DC Examiner. Sheesh, look at that leftist media lineup in charge of deciding the seating hierarchy. It's amazing any non-left wing media ever makes it off the back row!

Eeeeuuwww... no one else wants to sit where she sat, where her butt was....eeeuuuwwww....Uh, yeah... I hope the actual Helen Thomas chair retired with her. Hopefully they'll bring in a new one for Major Garrett...

According to Ed Henry, the senior White House correspondent for CNN and member of the WHCA board, the Associated Press will move to the front-row middle seat formerly occupied by Thomas. Disregard my previous post to you re: Major Garrett. AP will occupy the actual Helen Thomas seat, Fox News gets the old AP seat.
LOL enjoy Helen's seat, AP reporters! ;-)

Excerpt:
The White House Correspondents Association voted unanimously Sunday afternoon to move Fox News to the front row of the White House briefing room.
The seating change was prompted by the resignation of veteran UPI reporter Helen Thomas.
-snip-
Fox News will replace the AP in its former seat, also in the front row, and NPR, which lobbied for Thomas' seat along with Fox and Bloomberg News, will take Fox's former seat in the second row.
-snip-
Liberal groups had lobbied for NPR's placement in the front row over Fox, which one petition called a "right-wing propaganda outlet."
