Adm. Mike Mullen, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, has often warned that a military strike on Iran would have serious and unpredictable ripple effects around the Middle East.

Would you rather deal with terrorism and its knowns sponsor, or nuclear terror....? Doesn't seem like a difficult choice.

I'd be a lot more concerned if we didn't have plans in place for even the most unlikely of scenarios. The time for planning is before the SHTF, not once it has.

Just in case of what? Christianity breaks out and violence decreases in the country?

Well yeah. It’s someones job to have a plan for every conceivable conflict.

You're right. I'm sure somewhere there are plans for all kinds of oddball scenarios. What if the Canadians march on Fargo? What if the Mexican's head north? ... Oh, wait, that last one is happening. hussein obama's plan for that is apparently to try to turn them into votes for his Democratic fronted socialist/fascist regime.

Hopefully it won't be with a couple of American cities getting nuked.

It’s just in case we have to strike Israel to make Muslims feel good.

The “strike” plan has nothing to do with military action unless some dimwhit considers sending in the SEIU as a strategic strike. How can anyone beleive in any officer willing to uphold the policies of Obama is beyond me, Petraus included.

Unless there is an attack on 1600 Pennsylvania Av. or maybe City Hall in Chicago I doubt we would see any many military response from Obama. He could care less about Israel or the Red States.

If Israel doesn’t do a pre-emptive strike soon, IRAN will get nukes and use them.

I´m surprised we still have a Navy with soetoro and sycophant admirals like this character crawling from the woodwork.

Mullen, as PC a Navy Admiral as has ever served, is waving the saber at Barack’s command so he can appear tough on Iran to the electorate.

Meanwhile, Obama continues to sabotage Israel at every opportunity.

warned that a military strike on Iran would have serious and unpredictable ripple effects around the Middle East

That's like someone saying on December 8, 1941 that a military strike on Japan would have serious and unpredictable ripple effects around the world.

But nobody in his right mind would have said such a thing on 12/8/41 because the possibility of avoiding serious and unpredictable effects had already vanished on December 7th.

Terrorism brought us into the realm of serious and unpredictable effects on Sept 11th, and probably even before that. So since we already exist in a universe of serious and unpredictable effects, why not try to steer things our way, and defend the country against those niggling predictable effects (such as Iran getting the Bomb) at the same time, huh admiral?

Just in case POTUS acquires some cojones. Until he does, such plans are worthless. He’d never pull the trigger and ImANutJob knows this.

DOD has had, and I hope always will, contingency plans for every conceivable situation which could possibly arise - and remain adequately prepared for any eventuality..

Anyone who doesn’t know already that we have detailed plans for attacking Iran is unfit to offer public commentary on the topic. We have contingency plans on the shelf for dealing with just about every country in the world. We even have plans for the invasion of Canada if it should prove necessary!
