RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Chelsea Clinton wed her longtime boyfriend under extraordinary security at an elegant Hudson River estate late Saturday.
Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton announced in a statement that their daughter wed investment banker Marc Mezvinsky after weeks of secrecy and buildup that had celebrity watchers flocking to the small village of Rhinebeck for the evening nuptials.
The site of the wedding, a Beaux Arts riverside estate called Astor Courts, was sealed off from the general public.
"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends," the Clintons said.
"We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family.
On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day."
The ceremony was conducted by a rabbi and a reverend as Chelsea Clinton is Methodist and Mezvinsky is Jewish, and included a poem by Leo Marks titled, "The Life That I Have," according to the family.
Consistent with Chelsea Clinton's desire for privacy, the family had released no details of the wedding beyond the date.
But the scope of the event became apparent when more than a half-dozen busloads of wedding guests — men in black tie, women in dresses — were transported from a hotel in the village to the riverside ceremony as gawkers looked on.

Best Wishes to the Bride and Groom
Its what life is all about raising children and watching them learn to fly.
All the money shenanigans, Whitewater, commodities futures, and political crap looks pretty insignificant on this day.
Being a Dad was the best part of my life. I was a scout leader, baseball coach, team sponsor. I took them to Sunday School, helped them with their homework and made sure they learned our family’s values. I watched my boy win the big game and saw my daughter thrown from her horse and fearlessly jump back up, mount him and ride off. I celebrated their successes with them and consoled them on their losses and urged them on.
Chasing a buck was a side gig for me. I made enough to pay the bills and give them all they needed but not much more.
Being a Dad....it doesn’t get any better than that.
The good lord blessed me beyond my wildest dreams.
Just why are people fawning over these criminal families. Well, I guess people liked the Godfather series (at least the first two). If America is ever going to right her self, we must get beyond the celebrity worship that goes on. Shun these bastards.

Well, agree she at least, 'can be' as ugly; but when she pulls it together; do think she looks. . .attractive. And yes, the likeness of Web is quite evident; but again. . .'Web. . .Hillary'(?); maybe like the movie Inception; it was a 'dream imprinting', of sorts. . .Don't know - maybe not/lol.
Meantime, looks like the Groom is 'less than' there; as if there is a bit of hiding here. Perhaps it is his 'shadow beard' and his what seems an almost enigmatic smile/demeanor. But then; maybe in 'real life'. . .and not a photograph. . .
I thinks he’s attractive, and I don’t mind the grunge look he has going, either. LOL, I didn’t mean he didn’t look ‘radiant’ in a feminine way. I meant that, imho, in that particular pic he came across as disheveled and he didn’t ‘radiate’ or seem to project the same kind of happiness that she clearly did. In subsequent photos, that’s not the case.

Think if far better to elect those to the 'most powerful' position, who have already handled a silver spoon; than those who are just hungry for the silver, itself.
Marc is the son of two former members of Congress. He graduated from Stanford and worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs. He currently works for G3 Capital, a private hedge fund. His father, Edward Mezvinsky, is a convicted fraudster who ended his prison term in 2008. By all accounts, Marc is a really great guy . . .
(Bill himself; an exception here as he is known as 'likeable'; as is Biden, who despite his otherwise 'awful' status; appears as a likeble guy and probably not 'rigorously impolite'. . .) Can only imagine the stories of a 'stressed Hillary' or Chelsea, that may come out later. . .
If only. . .(think Bernie, is paying for Bill; and for Barnie. . .for Chris and Nancy - for Obama, et al/ad nauseum.)

Chelsea looked amazing and her gown was gorgeous. And, she looked so genuinely happy.
I thought the parents of the bride looked good too!
As far as Chelsea, she had no control who her parents turned out to be.
