Just heard Peter Johnson on FOX saying (I'm paraphrasing) that the MANDATORY part of checking immigration status is blocked but the LEO CAN ask if he/she thinks there is a suspicion.
I think getting the illegals by LEOs is still in, even being NOT REQUIRED to do so.
