The Herald reported Friday that Kerry did not pay the states 6.25 percent sales tax on his 76-foot luxury yacht, the Isabel, which he bought in March for $7 million and now docks in sales-tax free Rhode Island. Why would he pay a luxury tax on a necessity anyway? It's not like it's a hundred-foot yacht.
