The president told ABC that his family is not that far removed from what most Americans are going through right now. Really?
President Obama says he can relate to the plight of Americans striving in the struggling economy to pay bills while saving for their kids’ education.
He says he and first lady Michelle Obama took a hit like everybody else when the economy nearly collapsed, telling ABC that a college fund for daughters Malia and Sasha has gone “up and down” with the stock market.
Obama says the first couple is “not that far removed from what most Americans are going through.” He tells the network “it was just a few years ago that we had high credit card balances, we had two kids, thinking about college. We had our own retirement accounts, wondering if we were going to be able to get enough assets in there.”

What a lying sack of potatoes - he’s not experiencing ANYTHING like the people out here in the real world are experiencing. He’s been on a constant vacation, except when he’s golfing. He flew the dog to Maine ON A SEPARATE PLANE, and yet has the nerve to say that he’s experiencing what most Americans are going through.

That should make for a juicy soundbite during the November campaigns of GOP candidates. That is much worse than the Bush 41’s grocery store scanner incident.

He’s nothing like me. When he lives in a little cracker box, drives twenty year old vehicles, wearing used clothing, and is trying to create a business on a shoestring, then we can talk. College fund? I told my kids if they expect me to pay for their college, then I will be moving in with them, because I cannot afford to send five children to college and afford to live.
No clue at all.
College fund? Seriously? As if a former Left Wing President of the United States doesn’t have the clout to get his kids into any college he wants for free outside of Hillsdale just by asking!
