US President Barack Obama and his family are to take a holiday early August in the posh southern Spanish resort city of Marbella, Spanish newspaper El Pais and El Mundo reported Sunday on their websites.

I may be wrong, but I think they were just going to stay one night on the Gulf Coast - probably in NOLA so they can have dinner with the Gov. Michelle is going to visit the Gulf Coast again though. Seems like they only consider the Gulf area as Florida - wouldn’t want to go to those other states - they aren’t the real gulf.

WASHINGTON (Associated Press) - President Barack Obama and his family are heading off Friday 7/16 for the weekend to a spectacular national park on the coast of Maine,
The White House confirmed President Obama and his family will be vacationing along the Florida Gulf Coast in August as part of a weekend vacation.
President Obama, who has urged red staters to continue vacationing in the Gulf Coast states hardest hit by the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, will take his family to the Florida coast for the weekend of August 14th and 15th.
The White House said they will release details about where the family will be staying in the next week the announcement said.
The Obamas were in Maine last weekend for a weekend vacation and are planning another trip to Martha Vineyard, Massachusetts from August 19th-28th.

Isn’t he going to FLorida soon and then somewhere in the Northeast a week after that...now this????????????
Marbella is ultra expensive shopping (Rodeo Drive stuff) and quite a bit of expensive Arab owned real estate. Oh, and lots of sunny beaches. Not much old world culture there.
So Obama should feel right at home amongst culturally devoid sunny beaches.
