Iran was instrumental in blowing up our barracks in Beruit, which resulted in the deaths of over 220 Americans. They are actively supplying terrorists in both Iraq and Afghanistan with explosives which are killing our soldiers there almost daily. If anything, we should have bombed their asses back to the stone age years ago.

Iran did commit an act of war against the united states when it captured our Embassy. Of course, that action was allowed because Carter was, and still is, a terrorist enabler. His only criteria for support is that they must hate the US. If he had supported our ally, the Shah, this would have never happened.

Then, because he allowed Iran to get away with their attack on the US, it set the stage for every other attack on the US by Islamic terrorists.
