This wouldn’t have happened in a place like the Tiergarten (where they originally held this event), where there is plenty of space to release any crowd pressure.

Big crowds are dangerous. Always, no matter what. Those so-called “public viewing” events, where hundreds of thousands of people watch a soccer game together on some big inner-city boulevard, are also always dangerous. I always cringe when I see people bring their little kids to such events. Evidently they have no idea what a mass panic looks like; or how dangerous a little crush can become when enough people are involved.

Remember Dr. Motte?

The politics threw it out of Berlin because they kept fighting over the clean-up.

My wife walked in the first Loveparade on the Kudamm. She is best friends with the Lady who owned “Summer Love” the official magazine for the Loveparade. They just met with the babies last week although her friend was only babysitting for someone, but calls it “my baby”.

For the record my wife is Far Right - LoL!
