(CNN) Rush Limbaugh said Thursday on his radio show that Fox News and at least one of its anchors "caved" in its coverage of Shirley Sherrod, the former USDA employee who was fired in haste on Monday after an edited clip of her was posted on a conservative website.
"I have to go after it
because even Fox caved on this," Limbaugh said. "Even Shep Smith. Even poor old Shep Smith went down there and said that everybody's wrong on this, that [BigGovernment.com founder Andrew] Breitbart is wrong and so forth. There's only a handful of us that have the guts to put this story straight. If we don't hammer back nobody will."
Limbaugh dismissed the story, saying he was bored by it.
"It's nothing more than the left playing the race card, the NAACP has thrown down the gauntlet because the big government argument has failed," Limbaugh said. "They are keeping alive the divisions in this country and I hate taking the bait, I hate playing along with it, I simply despise the whole thing."

Did the NAACP condemn the racist rantings of the New Black Panthers?

Look into Sherrod’s husband’s background and you’ll find the answer to that.

Did the NAACP condemn the racist rantings of the New Black Panthers? Did the NAALCP condemn the racist rantings from Sherrod's audience? I listened to the entire speech yesterday and the crowd she was speaking to, an NAALCP chapter in south Georgia, sounded like the crowd at one of "Reverend" Wright's sermons. Rush is spot on.

One thing you learn if you want to win at poker is that if you are dealt a losing hand, fold quickly. Never push a losing game. You waste money and time durring which you might be dealt a better hand. Once the full video came out it was obvious that Sherrod was a bad hand. So you drop it. There are so many racists at the NAACP and Black Panthers it will be easy to find more. There have to be videos out there of some of them saying stupid things. Why waste resources and credibility on a fight that at best will be all smoke and no fire and which at worst can leave you discredited. Besides the whole "Tea Party is Racist" thing has been pushed out and that was the goal. The discussion is now all about the NAACP and Black Panthers and that is where we want it.

Remember way back when . . . some guy was forced to resign (I don’t remember the details) for using the word “niggardly”? When’s he gonna get his job back? When Shirley Sherrod comes to his defense, I’ll come to hers.

If anyone wondered about Shep’s leanings then his calling Breitbart’s site “widely discredited” should inform you.

Once the full video came out it was obvious that Sherrod was a bad hand. To begin with, it was never about Sherrod, it was about the NAACP's reaction to her racism. Secondly her whole talk was a racist, Marxist diatribe.

He is not very smart. He doesn't know the difference between "edit" and "excerpt".

Information was on one of the earliest thread...He was active in a group that the BP emerged from....OTOH that was years ago. Sure would like to see who he is affiliated with today.
It’s a shame that a more conservative person doesn’t get hold of her and give her that facts. She is currently being used and made to look foolish.

Shep didn’t “cave.” That’s who he is. He’s Ailes’ token lib.
Now Cavuto caved. As did Megyn Kelly.
O’Reilly surprisingly remained pretty skeptic of her overall ideology and agenda. And of course Hannity too.

“He doesn’t know the difference between “edit” and “excerpt”. “
Or, worse, he does and still said it.
At the same time Shep also took a cheap shot at Glenn Beck, saying “we don’t usually mention him much around here but...”

He doesn't know the difference between "edit" and "excerpt". Exactly. The tape was not edited.

When Eric Holder called the United States “a nation of cowards” because “we, average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”...
WHO is this provocateur?
When the NAACP approved a resolution condemning racism within the tea party...
WHAT is this collective?
individual...individual...individual...individual...individual...provocateur...individual...individual...individual...collective...individual...individual...individual...individual
