Is this man Obama's worst nightmare?
World Net Daily ^ | July 21, 2010 | Chelsea Schiling

He could be President Obama's worst nightmare – a business mastermind, a natural problem solver and a black man of "substance" who says he would "take the race card off the table" in a challenge against Obama as the GOP presidential candidate in 2012.

Has Obama met his match?

"We need a realistic candidate to run on the Republican ticket who can beat Barack Obama – not just beat the Democrats," Herman Cain, an Atlanta radio talk-show host, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza and 2004 Senate seeker, told WND. "We've also got to beat Barack Obama."

He added, "Obama is a master of rhetoric. He is a master of deceptive language. And any white candidate who runs against him will be up against the race card. I take the race card off the table."

Cain, a devout Christian, emphasized he is "prayerfully considering" a 2012 bid for the GOP nomination.

His supporters have launched a "Draft Herman Cain for President 2012" effort to develop teams of volunteers and build a grass-roots base for a presidential campaign. "That's been growing like gangbusters," Cain said. "That's the sort of thing I'll be looking at in the next couple of months in making this decision."

Obama's worst nightmare is God who knows him for what he really is.

Perhaps.

I think the god he worships is a sworn enemy of God.

I think his worst nightmare is that he won't get to rule in Hell (something he vastly prefers to serving in Heaven)

Colin Powell, Michael Steele... both big blunders, just like the US made with Obama: choosing someone based on skin color, rather than experience, philosophy, and ability.

(Cain has 2 of the 3... hope he gets a mayoral or gubernatorial slot soon!)

OTOH, I hate to denigrate anyone based on race but I am suspicious when someone comes out of no where suggesting they are “the candidate” BECAUSE of their SKIN COLOR. That makes me suspicious. I want to get away FROM THAT.

So Cain has not been a governor, mayor or anything like that? Just what position has he held that make him qualified OTHER THAN HIS SKIN COLOR? I want some meat. What makes him a potential candidate? Specifics?

From Wikipedia:

Business career

Cain worked as a mathematician for the Department of the Navy, a business analyst for the Coca-Cola Company, and for the Pillsbury Company, where he became Vice-President of Corporate Systems and Services within three years. Cain hoped to reach a corporate presidency, and to pursue this goal he decided to resign his senior position and move into the restaurant industry. Cain entered Pillsbury’s Burger King division, where he worked his way up from making hamburgers to managing 400 restaurants in the Philadelphia region. Under Cain’s leadership, the region went from being the chain’s worst-performing in the country to its best.[citation needed] In 1986, Cain was appointed head of Pillsbury’s struggling Godfather’s Pizza chain, which he restored to profitability in 14 months, and organized a buyout of the company from Pillsbury in 1988. Cain went on to serve on the board of the National Restaurant Association, chairing the board from 1994 to 1995 and becoming President and CEO in 1996. In 1999 Cain became President of RetailDNA.[1]
[edit]Political activities

In 2004, Cain ran for the U.S. Senate in Georgia, pursuing the seat which came open with the retirement of Democrat Zell Miller. Cain sought the Republican nomination, facing Congressmen Johnny Isakson and Mac Collins in the primary. Cain and Collins both hoped to deny Isakson a majority on primary day in order to force him into a runoff.[citation needed] Collins tried to paint Cain as a moderate,[citation needed] citing Cain’s support for affirmative action programs, while Cain, argued that he was a true conservative, noting that he opposed the legality of abortion even in cases of rape and incest.[2]. Cain finished second in the primary with 26.2% of the vote, ahead of Collins who won 20.6%, but because Isakson was able to win 53.2% of the vote, Isakson was able to avoid a runoff against Cain.[3]
In April 2010, Cain teased the audience at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference of being a possible 2012 presidential candidate by saying that there may be a “dark horse candidate.”[4] [5]
[edit]Personal life

In 2006, Mr Cain was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in both his colon and his liver. After surgery and chemotherapy, he has reported that he is cancer free (as of 10 April 2010).[6]
[edit]Radio talk show

Cain hosts The Herman Cain Show on Atlanta talk radio station News Talk 750 WSB from 7-10PM EST Monday through Friday and serves as a commentator for Fox News Business and a syndicated columnist distributed by the North Star Writers Group. In 2009, Cain founded “Hermanator’s Intelligent Thinkers Movement” (HITM), a non-partisan movement aimed at organizing 100,000 activists in every congressional district in the United States in support of a strong national defense, the FairTax, tax cuts, energy independence, capping and cutting government spending, restructuring Social Security, and defending the U.S. Constitution.[7]

Sarah Palin will win. She is far superior to anyone else, intellectually and morally. She is an astute politician and we desperately need her to help save our country.

I refuse to vote for someone purely based on race. If they’d put a true conservative on the ballot, I’d vote for him regardless of his race.

Stop your juvenile name calling and GROW UP!

Sarah Palin has no chance.

She is as polaring as Hitlery.

People are not in the mood for this or her odd ways and dysfunctional, tabloid family.

I'm not going to respond to post here individually, but I will say this: Herman Cain is not a flash-in-the pan. He is a proven conservative leader and has been for decades. He went toe to toe with Clinton. He's a regular commentator on Fox. He has a popular talk radio show and has spoken at over 20 tea parties nationwide.

He would be the LAST person to tell anyone to vote for him based on race. He hates that kind of thinking and speaks against it regularly. Anyone that listens to him will tell you that.

So prior to forming a judgment, why don't y'all take some time and learn about Herman:

Hermain Cain's Web Site

Speech at CPAC, Speech at SRLC, Atlanta Tea Party Speech,

Listen to Herman Live, online, weeknights 7-10

Yes, her intellectual superiority keeps showing up on comedy shows and her “moral” family keeps making headlines in the tabloids. Surely we can do better than THIS.

Let her help “save the country” but she won't do this running for President because she will NOT win. People like you will vote for her but in every poll out there, she does NOT win. It's clear, she is a polarizing character. <

The Palin supporters are taking on shades of the Ron Paul supporters. It's not going to work. Bulling and intimidating people who KNOW she is not Presidential material, will not work either. These people are no better than Obama people.

We really don't need the the New Palin Panthers!

That is ironic, considering Obama’s master seems to be the evil mad man George Soros.

Let's stop trying to dilute the conservtive choices with people because they are black or because it is Thursday. Our BEST hope remains Sarah and electing her in '12 (possibly with Jindal as VP) would be the most "in your face" move conservatives could make against the DBM AND the Dems because they both hate and fear her equally!!

Ah, the Palinite fire-breathers are gonna be after you now. Normally I’d recommend flame-retardant underwear, but with these folks there are usually so many tears and sprayed saliva that their flames are generally self-extinguishing.

What I don't like:

“... Cain’s support for affirmative action programs,”

“... in support of the FairTax,..”

Both are bad news.

His defense of affirmative action programs is what is driving him to be “the dark horse”. We don't need another Colin Powell. I am SICK OF THAT - skin color game. It MUST be on merit.

The Fair Tax s wrong too. Thank you for listing this. So far he does not have my confidence or interest as a candidate. There are better ones out there.
