Far be it from me to declare that we live in a world of sunshine and unicorns and no bad things ever happen, but aren't snuff films a bit of an urban legend?
I've been hearing about these for a good 30 years and I'm not aware of any snuff film being uncovered. Maybe I'm ignorant.
Snuff films are not an urban legend. Lots of fake ones too. But they exist.
I was getting ready to post basically the same thing, thanks. I have never heard of a real one. Never!
So you think that because you or I have never seen one that therefore they dont exist?
I consider the video of KSM beheading one of his victims that I viewed on michael savage’s website to be a snuff film. I mean, I can’t think of any other way to describe that. It was probably the most terrible thing that I have seen, and I don’t ever want to see anything like it again.
I have never seen God either, but I know he exists.

Good question but the trade in women exists. I spent time in South Korea and many of the bars focused on GIs are owned by organized crime. I saw women beat up by the owners while the police watched. Results of beatings, torture, drug use. You could sell a woman to them with no questions asked. If she didn’t have family to protect her then she had two choices, become a bar girl or die.
I met two American girls one day right outside Camp Humphreys. Maybe 17 or 18 yrs old and looked strung out. They were desperate for some food but when I suggested contacting authorities to get them some help they ran.
I don’t know about Thailand but have spoken with many people who were there and it is much worse. I don’t doubt for a minute that a market such as this exists.
My guess is that if you were to be exposed to such films it would be out of the Islamic countries first because that is a culture which worships death, and secondly out of the drug cartels of South America.
Before 9-11 I remember seeing some films of the Taliban massacres, could not watch the whole thing. And I never watched the Daniel Pear execution, or the beheading of that other guy either.
And the the Moslem world was in uproar because we tortured them by making them put panties on their heads.
There have been many films made of sexual murders in this country, in fact many of these films have been used to convict murderers.
Charles Ng and his partner Leonard Lake filmed most of their female victims; these films were part of the prosecutions case against Ng. Lake committed suicide before he could be prosecuted. To this day nobody knows how many people these two killed together or in Lakes case, individually.
David Parker Ray with his girlfriend and partner Cindy Hendy, kidnapped women to violently torture and rape them - they taped the victims. Ray died his first day in prison and is considered the prime suspect in the murder of dozens of missing women in New Mexico. Hendy currently sits in prison and while she’s never admitted to taking part in any murders, she says Ray told her about many he had committed.
Paul Bernado and his wife Karla Homolka, kidnapped teenage girls, raped, tortured and killed them, almost all on were on tape. Bernado is serving a life sentence while his now ex-wife was released after serving 12 years. Karla made a deal with prosecutors to testify against her husband before the tapes were found. She assisted in the murders, including the rape and murder of her own sister. This case caused a huge controversy in Canada.
These are only a few examples of sadistic sexual serial killers who’ve taped their victims, there have been many others.
The Urban Legend is based on a supposed international group who kidnaps women to be tortured, raped and eventually murdered on tape and then places those tapes up for sale for rich men to buy. There has never been some underground group found that does this, hence the urban legend.
