Murders have been filmed. There is no doubt. If we consider that a snuff film, then that answers the question.

I think a competing defintion of snuff film, is a film of a murder, done for purposes of enterainment and/or profit. Snuff films, in this definition, would be considered a form of pornography.

The murder of Daniel Pearl certainly fits the first description, but I do not think it fits the second description. If Natalie Holloway were killed in accordance with the second definition, it would be surprising since I don't think any such snuff films have ever been found.

Very good points, but at the same time I can’t understand how such films could be viewed as entertainment...much less to the point of arousal. I mean, it would take one heck of a very sick mind to find something redeeming in that, really really sick, it’s frightening just to think about.

With all the horrible murders taking place in Mexico, I have to believe there's lots of illegal film coverage of many of them......
