I guess falling asleep at the movies isn’t very romantic, but it was my only escape. I remember when going to the movies was strictly for ‘smooching in the balcony’. Things sure do change after 30 years of marriage!

Mrs. panax received a gift card for her birthday from one of the boys and we didn’t have much to choose from. Popcorn was $8.00 for a bucket about 10” high and 8” wide. Candy was $4.50 each, so we shared a small box of Junior Mints. The candy police patrolled through about every 10 minutes with his flashlight checking to see if anyone brought in their own goodies. Tickets were $11.50 each. About a fourth of the viewers walked out midway mumbling to themselves.
It pretty much confirmed to us that we are now living in some sort of parallel universe. We don’t come off our mountain much these days.

Again, I have to stress that this could have been one of the WORST movies I have ever seen in all of my 59 years. Mis-cast, lousy directing and a story that made no sense whatsoever.
