Effective Immediately, Tea Party Express Is No Longer a Member of the National Tea Party Federation
Date: Sat, 17 Jul 2010 at 3:43pm
Last night, the members of the National Tea Party Federation participating in an "All Hands" conference call unanimously decided the following:
The membership of the National Tea Party Federation has this evening suspended and will immediately expel Tea Party Express from any further association with the Federation should they fail to publicly rebuke Mark Williams and remove him from their ranks by 3 pm eastern time Saturday July 17.
The rebuke must take the following form:
1. Mark Williams must be officially removed from the ranks of the Tea Party Express.
2. Notice of Mark Williams' removal must be placed prominently on the official Tea Party Express website.
3. Tea Party Express must issue a press release articulating points 1 and 2 above.

Last night, a member of the National Tea Party Federation communicated our decision directly to a member of the leadership team of Tea Party Express. That leader's response was clear: they have no intention of taking the action we required for their group to continue as a member of the National Tea Party Federation.
Therefore, effective immediately the National Tea Party Federation is expelling Tea Party Express from the ranks of our membership.

And I say "Exactly" back to you. Today's Tea Party is no more a political party than the original Tea Party when (as all FReepers know) colonists (protesters) simply, by agreement and word of mouth, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. This, of course, as we all know led to the beginning of the American Revolution. There was no ONE leader then, it was not an entity of itself, per se, and there is not now a singular, official "party."
The problem is, the leftists do not know their history, hence the idea of today's Tea Partiers escapes them.
Liberals are so used to being led like sheep by their egotistical, socialist agenda politicians and media, that they cannot accept the concept of people thinking for themselves and simply coming out en masse against injustices because they agree on a concept. And, that freedom loving people in the United States have been able to show - in increasing numbers - their dissatisfaction with this administration without the need for one individual in charge to whom they pay homage.
What was also so clever about the humble beginnings of this grass roots movement was that there was not only a use of the "idea" of our forefathers' Tea Party in Boston, but when this movement began about two years ago, the letters T.E.A. were capitalized as they stood for "Taxed Enough Already."
So the name of today's Tea Party had a dual symbology. (If symbology is a word, LOL). That is the beauty of it. It captures the spirit of our ancestors and the dismay of today's taxpayers who don't need someone/anyone to tell them what they do not like about the laws and taxes our politicians are passing without listening to We The People .
“Youd think they would state in their ultimatum what Mark Williams did wrong, for the sake of casual watchers.”
I found this:
“Tea Party Express spokesman Mark Williams fired an unexpected response to a challenge from CNN contributor Roland Martin.
Asked to tell racists “you’re not welcome” in the tea party, Williams replied, “Racists have their own movement. It’s called the NAACP.”
The exchange came on Wednesday’s edition of CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” A day earlier, the NAACP passed a resolution condemning the tea party for tolerating racism.”

That is EXACTLY the response he should have. Roland Martin? Seriously? Screw him.

I guarantee the National Tea Party Federation is run by a bunch of Romney loving RINOs hijacking the movement and disguising themselves as conservatives.
Don’t see a problem here. The NAACP was exposed as the racist cult that it is. Mission accomplished.
Then along comes a heretofore unknown organization having a hissy fit over the way it was done.
So, who or what is the National Tea Party Federation? Who made them chiefs? Sounds like a Rat or RINO operation designed to attack the tea party movement.
I’d bet a box of doughnuts that the National Tea Party Federation comes out of California and they’re shills for assorted RINOs. Need to find the names of these “leaders” in the National Tea Party Federation and find a list of their campaign donations.
They can smear the tea party all they want. The tea party is comprised of fed up individuals who gather together throughout the country. Regardless of what anyone says or what title they have as a group, they will be turning out in big numbers to vote the rats out. And that is the bottom line.
When egos clash.
You can read what Williams wrote at http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/18/tea.party.imbroglio/
I have to disagree with the way he chose to make his point.
What’s the National Tea Party Organization?
I smell a rat.
Means the Leftist strategy is working.
Just keep takin' that bait, folks. The filth party loves it.
sure are bossy for a spontaneous uprising, aren’t they? One would swear they sound just like a bureaucracy.
“I have to disagree with the way he chose to make his point.”
A little blunt? Abrupt? Curt?
More like intensely stupid. It is a clumsy, juvenile "satire" with face-palming racist overtones -- the kind of thing the left PRAYS someone on the right will write so they can have a field day with it.
What the hell was he thinking?
No, they are out of Tennessee. See my post #79.
You may send my box of doughnuts to the mods of FR. ;*)
Isn’t Sean Hannity associated with the tea party express???
I almost thought you were going to say “schrubery”...
