Newt’s numbers will drop, once the media dogs are unleashed.

They’ve done their worst to Palin and she’s still knocking them out of the park. It only makes sense that her numbers will continue to climb.

Two other reasons her comps will improve:
1) She’s been correct and effect null set reaction to her FB posts, for Pete’s sake.
2) As more people realize she’s been spot on, not only will she gain more respect, but folks will give her extra points for withstanding an incredible onslaught.

The ‘quitter’ meme won’t work either, for the obvious reasons of the costs to her state, but more importantly, she will have been battling for YEARS without governmental salary or perks acting as an amicus of the nation.

I heard [Chris Christie] say on camera that he is pro-life. He is anti-tax, anti-spend, no apologies for cutting government sector and union largess. Surely he is no gun-grabber, is he? (fingers crossed and breath held)
But he is pro-amnesty.
Sean Hannity recently took Christie to task over that during his July 30th Fox News broadcast.

She is a joke who is starved for attention like Obama

If that were true, she would NOT have built the privacy fence to keep McGinniss from snooping; indeed, she'd have invited a number of other embedded reporters into her life.

If she is *starved* for attention, too, why is she relying upon twitter rather than going on the MSM all the time (those who can smell ratings a mile away)? Leno != Sunday morning talk shows or Oprah or Good Morning America...

And she certainly has the wherewithal to claim attention -- look at the lines of hundreds of people at her book tour: for the book which made the New York Slimes bestseller list.

If she were a joke, then liberals around the country would not be trying to tie conservative candidates to her. (e.g. the gubernatorial campaign in Minnesota has a radio ad tying her to Emmer. I heard it on KTLK 100.3 FM on the way home this evening.) Hint: when is the last time you can recall that campaigns were trying to tie their opponents to an ex-governor (who didn't even serve a full term) from halfway across the country?

Nice try, though.

Cheers!

Is that you?

Oh, David Brooks, my mistake.

Cheers!

You're dreaming.

Take two Palins and call Michele Bachmann in the morning.

Cheers!

Calling Palin supporters “cultists” is low; a cheap shot that is not worthy of a FReeper. They are “supporters”, many of whom have settled on her as the best compromise in a field of flawed candidates.

Every one of those candidates have supporters who range from lukewarm to enthusiastic. There is no need on on this forum for anyone to denigrate - with asinine labels - other thoughtful conservatives, just because you don’t agree with their conclusions.

You owe apologies to a lot of other posters. (Not me, because I haven’t yet decided.) I will admit to having reservations about Palin, and have absolutely vetoed Romney. Gingrich? The man has too much baggage and his bigger, 24/7 attention needs - leading him to attach himself to anybody, including liberals - is more than bothersome.

Not all Palin supporters are cultists but certainly some are. I owe no apologies for the cultists. They are no different than the Obama cultists.

Actually of all of the prospective candidates, including ones I support, Gingrich is the most fearsome debator. I don’t even have the problem a lot of FReepers have with him on some issues. I just think his history with his personal life has him DOA.

Yep, he is our best spokesman today, although Paul Ryan is getting better, just needs some more years on him. I too fear that Newt's baggage is just to heavy a burden.
