Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston say they're engaged and they haven't told her parents yet.
Palin, the daughter of 2008 vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is featured on the cover of Us Weekly with Johnston, holding their son, 18-month-old Tripp.

Or being set up as a mole. Sarah and Todd would do well to hold their cards close, this guy is not to be trusted.
They posed for the cover.
Probably so, but the second headline really irked me: I hope my mom will accept us.I suppose you have to consider the source (US Mag) in that regard. You just never know how things are truly said ... I personally think this couple feels they can acquire more funds together than apart (sorry for the cynicism) through the media, and I also think they probably really do care about their child's welfare as much as a young couple with a problematic relationship can. The money from this interview will give them a nice wedding gift, but if they get in a serious bind over this or that (which everyone does), it's only Christ that's gonna truly help them. I hope they go to church and believe.
This is damn wrong. But I’m not to judge. Sara’s hubby looks ready to strangle Levi at the 1st instance of stupidity. Good luck to those kids.
Hubby and I had blonde kids although he and I have dark brown hair. But that was normal because back when we were toddlers, both he and I were blonde, too.
We taught our daughter when she was three to answer the impertinent question of “where did you get your blonde hair?” with “From recessive genes!” Funny thing, most of the interlocutors had no idea what genes were.
More likely he is looking for a book deal.
Both of my parents brunette, my younger bro had blonde hair until he was about five or six. And just to let you know, he takes after both sides of the family, elements of paternal grandpa and maternal aunt in his face. It happens.
He doesn’t even need to write a book. he just needs a contact at the enquirer. Every time he sees or hears something he can be the “undisclosed” source.
Yeah... always distrust media who say they are your friends... a lesson that is often learned the hard way or not learned at all.
If they were trying to reconcile wouldn’t the parents know before the media?
I agree with the Reaganaut. This back-and-forth thing is a play out of COPS, Which in turn means that it’s part of the Clinton playbook.
Who knows... maybe something terrible will happen on some hunting trip.
True or not, they still need our prayers.
Their situation is tough enough without the media attention.
I can’t imagine how they are going to deal with this if Sarah runs for Pres.
I see they have dropped the "failed" from their schtick. Good luck to Bristol and Levi if this is true. Now if the media will just leave them alone. I love happy endings.
Is anybody going to start a pool for when they have their next baby?....and will they announce that to their families through a magazine also?
I have a really bad feeling this relationship will be the ‘drama’ that keeps on giving (to the DNC).
They kind of lost their credibility right there. I don't think Bristol would go to a rag like that to announce her engagement before telling her parents.
Sounds like a normal family to me.
recessive genes.
Don't know if thats true or not. Bristol works and has her own townhouse. I believe she supports herself and her baby. The Palins raised their kids right. Before anyone starts trashing the Palins because Bristol got pregnant, think if your own families are perfect. Mine have made mistakes but had the responsibility to do what they needed to do to make things right. Theres the key.
