It's interesting to try to divine the chicken-and-egg of Mel Gibson's firing by WME last week: Was it his (first-alleged, now aurally proved) misogynistic and racist comments that enabled the agency to part ways with him, or was it the death of longtime agent Ed Limato that did the trick?
Earlier today the news surfaced that William Morris Endeavor had split with Gibson last week-- as Limato lay seriously ill, and just several days after Radar Online broke the news that Gibson had verbally abused his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva by using the N-word. (The reports were just that until today, when audio of the Gibson incident was released on Radar.)
There's of course a third variable in all this -- the fact that Gibson just wasn't much of a bankable star anymore anyway.

He released a statement some months ago that she ran outside and threw herself on the ground, knocking out teeth, while holding the baby. His rep also said that when she came back in, she shook the baby. If he was that dangerous, why did she then leave the baby with him and go to Russia?
His wife has never made any of these allegations. Never called the police.
Gibson has problems. I believe she is using those problems to wage a PR war in order to get more money.

I’m not the one here defending Mel Gibson for telling the mother of his child that she is going to be raped by a bunch of N-Bombs nor am I defending Gibson for saying that the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.

I never said they all are on welfare. I said they are a protected class on public dole. Making whitey pay is a way of life. Conservatives see reality. Trolls don't.
However YOU said in Post 155 : I’m not quite sure America has paid for the “mistake” of slavery, but even if it has paid for that “mistake,” it does not minimize that mistake or absolve America of slavery and placing African Americans in scientific experiments.

Whether that is a true statement or not ("all" Americans...really?) is beside the point. My point is that when somebody introduces the line "...I on the other hand, hold America to a higher standard than other nations", they are probably a liberal trying to lend cover to their attacks on America. It is an all-purpose line, applicable to any anti-American screed. It allows the individual who loathes America (including those who think America still needs to "pay" for the crime of slavery), to claim that their incessant America-bashing is actually a kind of super-duper ultra-patriotism.

Unlike some, I have a family in which I spent time with last night over dinner and some reading and this morning I worked to help support that family.
Because being a child molester isn't rape-rape, and isn't even a big deal in hollyweird, but using the "N-word" is an unpardonable offense.
