That is something we sure don't hear everyday but I bet every Conservative here on Free Republic wishes our Federal government understood the meaning of TANSTAFL.
Now more than ever it is critically important for Conservatives to have Free Republic as our online resource where we can discuss the real news, not the news as the current administration's public relations spin machine is spewing it.
We need Free Republic because it's the premiere Conservative online site where Conservatives can discuss, defend and make cogent arguments about all Conservative issues.
Free Republic is a site where Conservatives give voice to opinions in often heated discussions.
Free Republic also serves as a rallying point where Conservatives can align with other Conservatives and get involved in making our strongly held opinions heard above the fray of leftist bleating.
Conservatives on Free Republic become involved and remain involved in grassroots activism, all while making the steps necessary to return our country to its Conservative principles and standards.

Free Republic is currently delivering over 1.2 million pageviews to over 230,000 visitors per day. That's 40 million pageviews to 7 million visitors per month or 120 million pageviews per quarter, 480 million pageviews per year.
We currently have over 350,000 registered screen names on FR. Out of these millions of visits, hundreds of millions of pageviews, hundreds of thousands of registered FReepers and hundreds of thousands of regular lurkers only a relatively FEW actually donate the funds to keep FR alive.
Now, I'm not complaining, because we've always managed to meet our fundraising goals in the past, but it is taking longer and longer to accomplish the task.
And part of that may be because it's mostly the same few dedicated FReepers providing the funds, and, along with the rest of us, I'm sure they're stretched to the limit.
Sure would be nice if a few more FReepers and lurkers would lend a hand and send in a few bucks. Doesn't take much. I think our average donation is around $20, but you can send in $5, $10, $20, $30 or more, and make it a monthly contribution if you can.
A relatively few good FReepers is all it takes to keep FR on the air so that hundreds of thousands of us can join together in kicking liberal butt and continue the fight for our freedom!!
For example, 1,500 dedicated FReepers and lurkers donating an average of $20 each per month is all it takes to continue delivering these hundreds of millions of propaganda-fighting, pro-liberty pages to tens of millions of readers every year.
How many concerned citizens and potential voters can we reach for a tiny fraction of a cent per page? FR delivers a BIG bang for the buck!!
Thank you for providing the bang AND the buck!!

Yes he is. His post proves that he's a gentleman of culture and breeding. A person with a great appreciation of the finer things of life.
LOL. Well, given the circumstances, flattery will have to suffice...lol...and I’m not hearing any complaints from the other guy...lol.
Hush now. Don’t tell him *that*.
Re-signed as a monthly donor. don’t know what I’d do without FR!
Woo-Hoo! LOL. I love it!

ROFLOLOLOLOLOL.
You betcha! I’m sure you’re right. I think I recall NormsRevenge showing signs of modesty at times....lol
Please allow me to bow my head in a moment of silence to mourn the passing.
I hope others reading this will join me.
Actually, at one point some time ago we did have a dozen servers or close to it. But we lost a couple when they fried a few years ago. Then John installed a couple of new servers just before the last election that were each more than twice as powerful and twice the capacity of any of our older ones so he took a few more of the older ones offline. Then last quarter we lost our secure server when it crashed and burned. John moved it to one of the other boxes. So, minus one more. Then two weeks ago we lost one of our newest servers. John has not repaired or replaced it yet, but has crammed most of its functions onto its twin and where ever he could fit it in. My guess is we still have six or seven servers online at this time but I've lost track of the exact number and configuration. And who knows if well have to add more before the next election or not.
BTW, John bounced the idea off me a couple months ago that he could replace the whole shooting match and be much more efficient and reliable with a completely new approach. He said he could do it for an investment of around $10,000. We didn't have that kind of money in our budget at that time and didn't want to borrow it, so I told him it would have to wait.
Also, by the way, it's more than just me and John. There's also Amy and Chris. John dropped his company a couple years ago and came back in with me and Amy as partners. We also added Chris as a partner after I lost my leg. Amy's been with me as a partner from the start. I'm hoping John and Chris can take over for me if I die or become incapacitated.
We also ended up borrowing about twenty grand a couple years ago when we did a lot of traveling (traveled to DC and elsewhere by air and by car several times) and also held our national convention. We've paid about half of that debt off so far. Hopefully the balance will be paid off within a year.
LOL. Perhaps the green Budda will join both of us? It was a very sad pssing. We had such fun with that menu. Enjoyment for a lot of folks. Even for those like me who never ordered from the menu. Maybe that’s why they went out of business? Either that, or better drivers on the road.
bump
Nice!
