Thanks.
Is a pig's ass pork? We sure did...pretty severe jolting and shaking/rattling -- with the added "enjoyment" of hearing sh*t hitting the floor all over the house.
Nothing broken here, however. Wifey and I jumped in the car to run and check the late parents' nearby home, which has been for sale. As luck would have it, Escrow opened just yesterday for a buyer and we were terrified that a big rift might have developed across the floor tiles....other than a couple of busted dinnerware things, the structure seemed OK. Fingers crossed....what sh*tty timing.
Erg. Better call mom.
We had a 5.0 here near the end of June. (23rd)
Earthquakes are not pleasant.
La Quinta Cove checking in....scared the hell out of wifey (she gets traumatized ever since we got hammered in the Northridge thingie). We had a few things hit the floor, but the floor tile appears to have escaped uncracked.
A chihuahua named Fidel...I love it!
Transport them to the GOM. Perhaps they like eating oil.
Even though I live in Calif this quake was about 800 miles south of me and we don’t even get out of bed for a 5.9 here on the shores of Humboldt Bay...
Was sitting in the car at a red light in Anaheim. We bounced pretty good.
It's been a very seismically busy three months down here.
“An earthquake in the Salton Sea unleashes a horde of prehistoric mollusk monsters”
You may not believe me but I just bought that movie from Amazon and it arrived yesterday and is sitting on my desk!!! I kid you not. the Monster That Challenged the World starring Hans Conreid
ROFL!
Just went to Bermnuda Dunes to check on my rentals, everything is fine, not even a trash can tipped over.
You guys in the Cove seemed to have gotten hit harder than we did over here.
Let me see ....Linkie:
I felt nothing in San Marino, south of Pasadena. But everyone else at the office did??!! They said it was long and rolling, which figures, as we are about 100 miles west.
I am thankful to have missed it.
San Jacinto fault, they are saying. 5.4.
Now that is some kind of anticipation...
See #62...some really felt it!
