A good shake out by I-5/Genessee (Campus Point)
Good rolling motion...building creaking... doors swinging.
I would bet ErnBatavia felt it real good out by PS.
Felt it pretty good on the 3rd floor in Glendale, Ca.
Yeah! My earthquake apps both said 5.9!
Palm Desert area here—that was a strong one. I’ve lived in SoCAl for many yrs—that was the first one that really got my attention & my dog’s.
We had one on Easter that was a long roller, this was a real jolt followed by a very long, but gentle roller.
Hanging objects well shaken, nothing fell, no damage or injuries here.
Wow...it’s rolling and shaking more than a minute here in North San Diego!!! Scare the sh*t out of my wife and a little 3 month old.
Lots and lots of aftershocks according to my iPad earthquake apps.
HUMMMMMM San Andreas huh?
Where is that?
Very strong rolling motion here at LAX. Felt like I was on a boat.
Lasted for at least 15-20 seconds.
Downgraded to a 5.4; already had 7 aftershocks...
Reported as 5.4 now. Definitely felt stronger than that. Probably because this one was very shallow compared to the others the last few months. It was less than 1/2 mile deep. I live in North San Diego County, and this felt like the 7.0 that hit Northern Mexico around Easter.
Lakewood, CA felt slight soft movement.
San Andrus is further North....
This is a different falt than the one that had a 7+ down by mexicali....things may be tripping loose...
I’m starting to think something’s wrong with me. I live in Carlsbad and while my whole family was here on Easter and felt that one, I didn’t. Didn’t feel this one either. I just happened to call one of our daughters (also lives in Carlsbad) around 5 pm and she answered the phone with, “We’re all okay.” I had no idea what she was talking about. Weird!!!! As a native Californian, I’ve felt a number of them before. Oh well.
Down graded to 5.4
Out in lizard country.
Would you mind running over to my place at the Desert Princess and checking things out please?? <<LOL!
I heard on KFI radio that there is some glass breakage at a mall in Palm Desert...
As I remeber this felt almost as strong as I remember the Northridge quake.
