Jesse is saying that he did not know what real life is about, but has learned it in the last 20 years since he woke up.
He is talking about how many people never have known peace. Now he helps these people and is blessed to see how to help people. He is talking about a 53 year old man, who shows Jesse where he has cut and burned himself because he is tormented within. Wow, I didn't think men did that.
He says the man said one day before seeing Jesse he was going to buy a gun and something told him to see Jesse...for some reason he felt Jesse could help him, and he told him he was tormented by his HATRED.
Jesse tells him because of his anger his spirit is separated from the real God. Any iota of resentment separates you from God, who can give you peace.
I has nothing to do with color or anything. jesse tells him to overcome his anger, take a moment, a second to calm down. He says close your eyes and be quiet and see if you can hear the clock ticking for a moment.
