Stands to reason. Thirty-five years ago Gene outraged the stuffy, pious, corrupt sensibilities of authority by painting his face and sticking his tongue out.
Today, he outrages the stuffy, pious, and corrupt authority of the media and the cultural left by figuratively doing the same.
Simmons was very outspoken against the celebrity critics who criticized George Bush and the Iraq war....I believe his mother is a holocaust survivor and he said while he disagreed with GWB on many issues, offering a hand to free oppressed people was always noble (or something to that extent)...
Yeah, he took his daughter to the military hospital to visit the troops a while back.
Gene is an Israeli jew and Republican.

Something that's not widely known about Gene, who is an unabashed self promoter, is the amount of time and energy he puts towards charitable actions, without drawing attention to himself.

Gene is a proud American Jew, who was born in Israel. That's his heritage, one from which he's never hidden, but he's American by his decisions. It's an important distinction.

Gene’s interview with Bill Shatner on Raw Nerve is worth watching. I DVR’d it on my father’s DVR so he could watch it, and see a profile of a true American capitalist hero. Even though my pop hates Gene’s type of music, he enjoyed the interview... especially when he was talking about coming to America.
