NewsBusters reports that four members of the pro-life group Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust got their hands on free tickets to the Jimmy Kimmel Show the other night and caused enough of a disruption during taping that the police escorted them out. The youth group is trying to call attention to that fact that on June 25th, while peacefully picketing outside of Graumans Chinese Theatre, a film crew hired by the Kimmel Show turned a hot spotlight on one of their members, Ryan Bueler. It was an astonishing act of cruelty thats just now starting to make the rounds online.

The time to get physical is close... if I had been there, how do I not punch/tackle/slap the dog-shit out of as many as I could? How? I mean, damn. You don’t let your children get hurt.

Battery implies touching, I think. They probably wouldn’t charge you for doing it through the medium of light. Also, when you say “not just an assualt,” I hope you realize assualt is the more serious of the charges, requiring, as it does, violence. Mere battery is non-violent, and can be rather benign.

Umm... I watched it twice and frankly have no idea what this is about. The “story” doesn’t say anything either.

It’s very simple - the pro-life person/persons who were assaulted should get themselves a high profile lawyer and sue the Jimmy Kimmel show AND THE NETWORK. Anything less than that and they are complete idiots.

I have no idea if those responsible for turning that hot spotlight on Bueler committed a crime. The police didnt think so and refused to press charges. So, let's find a cop there are shine the light on him and see what happens. No crime, so he shouldn't mind.

And sue the arresting cops. They’re equally responsible in this situation, and need to be held accountable for not arresting the lighting crew.

True. I’m sure the LA cops turn a blind eye to a lot of things in Tinseltown. Money talks.

Yet another reason to ignore the no-talent hack Jimmy Kimmel.
To: jrg
I agree; the first time I saw him was when he did the after-show for the last episode of Lost. That guy couldn’t conduct a good interview if his life depended on it.

Jimmy Kimmel - about as funny as the 4th funniest guy at your neighborhood tavern.

I think it's a two way street. Regardless of the issue, if someone was protesting at my property, I'd probably try to discourage them any way that I could legally get away with. Preferably with a strong sprinkler system.
If you are going to protest, don't be a baby about it. Suck it up.
