Now I know why our latest tastes 'not as we remembered'...we picked up a 12 pack last month (hadn't had Dr. Pepper for years) and both commented that it wasn't nearly as good as we remembered.
Re sugar Coke; around here with our heavy hispanic demographic, you can buy what's called "Mexican Coke"....haven't tried it because of where it's likely bottled.

That's what my wife buys me. Still tastes better than fructose-flavored Coke. Although now I have this strange urge to put on mariachi music.

I know when I got the sugared Pepsi and realized I could drink a whole can and not feel sick afterward. Just like when I was a kid. My children loved it!

I’ve been told that the carbonation is less in cans because the can can’t hold as much gas. Guess that’s why the bottled drinks are always better.
