Unemployment is still at 10% (higher in real life, of course). I have never drawn unemployment and I hope I never have to. If I had to find a new job, it would be very difficult because of my age. Of course, I hear stories about how employers can’t find people to work because they rather get unemployment benefits. I suppose some would, but I believe the majority of people prefer to have real jobs. I guess they can’t all be census takers, though. Just my humble opinion.

I am one of those unemployed, been so for 7 months now, 1st time in 31 years. I would much rather work, and I sure need that extension, can't find a job to save my life. It's bad out there, really really bad.

Banging on doors, networking, monster, careerbuilder and several others. Professional resume writers helping, Linkedin, employment services, 15 job search engines, blah blah blah.

I really would like to meet the employer who needs people to work but cant because people want to collect.

I genuinely would.

He either doesn’t exist or he pays so low people wont work for wages that will not pay their bills, and when unemployment pays more than a job, how can you fight that logic?
