I am one of those unemployed, been so for 7 months now, 1st time in 31 years. I would much rather work, and I sure need that extension, can't find a job to save my life. It's bad out there, really really bad.

Banging on doors, networking, monster, careerbuilder and several others. Professional resume writers helping, Linkedin, employment services, 15 job search engines, blah blah blah.

I know it’s hard. I wish you the best. Maybe you should watch the obits and find out where they worked. Okay, sarcasm, but in my 40 years of working, I don’t remember it ever being this bad.

I know the feeling as well, and I’ve only been on for 4 weeks. I’d rather be working than doing the “Honey Do” list, which is getting smaller and smaller, but then what do you do, especially when nobody calls you back after calling, emailing and faxing, over and over again?

Gee, it sure would be nice to bring some jobs back to the US that got sent out to the Third World so somebody else’s profit margin looks better.
