I never had a doubt.

Obama - “We’re air-raiding villages and killing civilians”

Obama said he would change the ROEs in the first week after he became president.

This is verbatim from a private email. Author’s name is withheld, for obvious reasons. I think it makes a lot of sense. Team O is a bunch of childish, unrealistic theorists who don’t mind ‘experimenting’ with cultural infrastructure let alone military personnel. For shame.

Good..........they played Obama and won. Never underestimate the Cadets from any of our military academeys. They planned it and pulled it off. Commander in Chief? In his dreams!

It is called the Courageous Restraint Medal and is awarded to soldiers and Marines who demonstrate uncommon restrain in combat by not firing their weapons even when they feel threatened by the enemy.

What what what? I can't imagine a living Marine accepting this medal under any circumstances. What the hell is going on here?

>> Stanley McChrystal is a true warrior

Good that the RoE issue is being discussed, but a love letter is not the best format.

As a father of a soldier serving with special forces in Afghanistan, here is what I think. If McCrystall really has a problem with the ROE, if they really were not his rules (he has been quoted several times in various publications saying they were necessary), if he really thinks Obama is dangerous to his men, if he really loves his troops, if he is really a patriot, if he is really a man he would just go the cameras and warn the American people by speaking clearly instead of this charade with a liberal rag. Sorry but a man with all the intelligence, conviction, and love for his men that you all say he has would just stand up and say this is wrong, his career be damned. Our sons lives are shown to be nothing but cheap resources while the General plays his game.

If this is true, then I expect McCrystal to become an outspoken critic of Obama’s war “strategy” real soon.

I beleive it was Limbaugh who first brought up the Courageous Restraint Medal, AS A JOKE!

I see this as yet another attempt to give the “General” a pass. He may or may not have been a good Special Operations guy but it is evident he was not an administrator. He did an all access interview to someone else last year that just stunned me with the cameras inside the functioning operations center in theatre. As a former crypto specialist, something rang very wrong with that whole piece.

So he couldn’t do the honorable thing and let everyone know he wasn’t up to the job or the needless lives lost to the man-childs agenda. Maybe when he was seeing he numbers of special deliveries to Dover increase and it got to him. Maybe that fourth star was not worth the mental baggage he had to assume along with it. But in the final analysis only a very small man finds a way to finese an exit while leaving his troops leaderless in battle with a totally rediculous ROE, his or not.

If I’m wrong, I can handle that, but experience tells me otherwise. Better people got fragged for lesser transgressions.
