Black and white need to be forgiving of each other during and after the Obama fall. Unwinding a nation from a cult of personality, and a split, even if only a minority at the end are still in the cult of personality can be difficult. Blanket “amnesty” for regular folks of all persuasions needs to be issued by each of us. Be American and be bigger than rubbing noses in the defeat of Obama. Talk instead about “if he had understood business” or “if he had understood we can’t endlessly have huge deficits.” Issues. Then just forgive the people that can’t unwrap their minds from racism and move on. Be calm. Be forgiving.
Being the bigger man (or the better woman) will take it’s toll and make it’s point more effectively than a fight where the person that needs to open their mind or change just digs in their heels and fights.

I listened to a podcast about a year ago interviewing Dr. Sam Vaknin discuss the reasons why he thought Obama was a classis narcissist and what the implications of that would be for the USA. What he said really shook me and made me very concerned for this nation’s survival. Vaknin says when a narcissist implodes and goes down in a flaming ball of fire (as the ultimately and typically do), the narcissist tries to take everyone and and everything around him, down with him, and that it usually ends very badly. Xenophobia and racism were rampant in Germany since 1870s. If Hitler did not show up as a candidate by 1920s, Germany would've united around someone else with the same platform. I would submit to you that Clinton is no less of a narcissist, but the country was not ready for a messiah back then.
Today, the question is not about Obama's personality but rather about the personalities of tens of million of Americans that look for a messiah. They voted for him. They continue to support him despite zero recorded accomplishments.
It is the narcissism that permeates our entire culture that is the real phenomenon. That culture was looking for a messiah for quite some time, and only now has found one.
Why not both? He is nuts therefore he wants the destruction of the U.S.
The irony is that Obama has been, and will be, so disastrous for the country that he’s probably ruined, for a long time, the chances of another Black becoming President. Even one that, unlike him, is qualified to hold the office.
