Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan has written the leaders of more than a dozen major U.S. Jewish groups and denominations seeking "repair of my people from the damage" he claims Jews have caused blacks for centuries.
Farrakhan sent the letter along with two books from the Nation of Islam Historical Research Team that the 77-year-old minister said prove "an undeniable record of Jewish Anti-Black behavior," starting with the slave trade and Jim Crow laws.
"We could charge you with being the most deceitful so-called friend, while your history with us shows you have been our worst enemy," he wrote.

In the letter, dated last Thursday, the Chicago-based Nation of Islam leader said he sought a dialogue with Jews. He sent the letter to groups including the Orthodox and Reform movements, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and the American Jewish Committee, a New York-based advocacy and humanitarian nonprofit that spearheads inter-religious dialogue.
"This is an offer asking you and the gentiles whom you influence to help me in the repair of my people from the damage that has been done by your ancestors to mine," he writes. "Your present reality is sitting on top of the world in power, with riches and influences, while the masses of my people ... are in the worst condition of any member of the human family."

He must have also forgotten about those nice white Jewish kids from the North who went South, and subsequently lost their lives, to help in the Civil Rights movement in the 60’s.
None, those countries are crapholes. We all agree with that. I hardly think we should be comparing modern Western nations with backward Islamic countries.
Compare that to how Christians are treated in Israel.
Fairly well. I don't live in Israel. My understanding is that Christians are not treated as well in Israel as Jews are treated here in the US.
Most people who whine about Nativity scenes are atheists regardless of the faith they were born in.
I am not convinced of that at all. It seems to me that Jewish people seem to be in the leadership of an awful lot of these radical left "civil rights" groups that end up opposing any display of Christianity.
Farrakhan is an imitation Muslim glomming onto Islamic style hate of Jews to further isolate Blacks for his power and profit.

Once at a church I attended, we had a Messianic Jewish man (otherwise known as a Jewish-Christian) speak to the congregation. He was a missionary whose desire was to convert fellow Jews to Christianity and his mission field was the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. This neighborhood is distinctly Orthodox Jewish, and mostly populated with Hassidim, a very strict branch of Orthodox Judaism. They are the ones who have the hats and long side curls, etc. Anyhow, he handed out pamphlets and wanted to talk to people, and for his trouble he did not simply get the brush off, but was subjected to people spitting in his face. Literally. He told us that they screamed at him, and spit repeatedly. Jewish people are suspicious of gentiles in general, and of CHristians in particular. IF they are practicing Jews they consider the New Testament, anti semitic. I was told that by a Rabbi. If they are not religious, which most aren’t, they think that Christians are out to get them. I was friendly with a Jewish woman for years when I was young . We lost touch and had met up again on the computer a few years ago. She kept forwarding me very liberal emails, some of which were decidedly anti Christian. When I told her that my politics were very conservative and that I was a Bible believing Christian, she wrote back to me that she was “sick of Christians” ,that they controlled everything, and promoted anti semitism. We have never spoken again. It seems to me that they are afraid of Christ, plain and simple. They were afraid of Him 2000 years ago, and continue to do so now. Unfortunately, many still seek his demise today in the public square . However, as Christians we should ever be mindful that they are the race from which Christ came, and we should continue to pray for their salvation.

They should note that in Georgia all the crop pickers are from Mexico. They are not black nor Muslim. Just an observation.
This is a problem in Israel actually. Apparently it is socially acceptable for religious Jews to spit on Christians. It is bizarre. Pretty sure it is a very small minority that do that, but several of my friends that visited Jerusalem saw it happen and it shocked them.

Indeed. I guess this is what is so infuriating. So many of us conservatives support the Jewish state and the Jewish people. When these European nations go through their anti-semetic episodes and look the other way while their "youth" go beat up Jews, it is American conservatives that make a big deal about how that should not be tolerated. Our thanks is for American Jews to promptly go vote for the political party that will do absolutely nothing to stop any of this and would abandon Israel in a heartbeat. It's like trying to be friends with someone who you know absolutely loathes you.

Jews don’t read the book; they read Christians. As far as they are concerned all gentiles (ie. Hitler, Stalin, etc.) are “Christians” (the Holocaust happened in “Christian” Europe) and therefore
“Christians” are anti-semitic.
However, if they do read it, they find how Jewish a book it really is.
The 75% is believed to be somewhat of an overestimate, due to statistically sloppy polling techniques. The true % will never be really known, but it's probably in the high 60s, which is more consistent with pre-election polling.
No evidence to suggest he has lost any support (among Jewish voters)? Wrong. More recent polls have shown his job approval rating with Jews now is in the 50s. Though that's higher than his rating with the general American population, there is no doubt he's going downhill with Jewish voters, just as he is with just about any other group except perhaps blacks.
It is very hard not being able to get stuff to grow in GEORGIA! LOL.
I live in Florida, a few miles south of that State, and even the concrete roofing tiles find a way to sprout vegetation and need to be steam cleaned with BLEACH on a regular BASIS, just to KEEP stuff from Growing.

This iconoclasm is actually a perversion of a legitimate Jewish instinct--the destruction of false "gxds." However, liberal Jews have perverted this instinct because they have redefined Judaism as secular humanism. Thus, instead of destroying false "gxds" they tend to seek out the most Judaic things they can find (the "Ten Commandments," for example) and make have hissy fits about them. It's like HaShem is now the "foreign" G-d. However, this does not change the fact that the destruction of false "gxds" is commendable and part of the Jewish mission.
BTW, many Fundamentalist Protestants object to chr*stian iconography as idolatrous.
This is 2010....not 2008 things have changed. Jewish people don’t need anyone to “change” them. Especially the likes of Jew Bashers. If anyone needs bashing it’s the American politicians and people who STILL do not see the ISlamic threat.
