“Jews seems to hate ALL public displays of ANY religion.”
Once at a church I attended, we had a Messianic Jewish man (otherwise known as a Jewish-Christian) speak to the congregation. He was a missionary whose desire was to convert fellow Jews to Christianity and his mission field was the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. This neighborhood is distinctly Orthodox Jewish, and mostly populated with Hassidim, a very strict branch of Orthodox Judaism. They are the ones who have the hats and long side curls, etc. Anyhow, he handed out pamphlets and wanted to talk to people, and for his trouble he did not simply get the brush off, but was subjected to people spitting in his face. Literally. He told us that they screamed at him, and spit repeatedly. Jewish people are suspicious of gentiles in general, and of CHristians in particular. IF they are practicing Jews they consider the New Testament, anti semitic. I was told that by a Rabbi. If they are not religious, which most aren’t, they think that Christians are out to get them. I was friendly with a Jewish woman for years when I was young . We lost touch and had met up again on the computer a few years ago. She kept forwarding me very liberal emails, some of which were decidedly anti Christian. When I told her that my politics were very conservative and that I was a Bible believing Christian, she wrote back to me that she was “sick of Christians” ,that they controlled everything, and promoted anti semitism. We have never spoken again. It seems to me that they are afraid of Christ, plain and simple. They were afraid of Him 2000 years ago, and continue to do so now. Unfortunately, many still seek his demise today in the public square . However, as Christians we should ever be mindful that they are the race from which Christ came, and we should continue to pray for their salvation.

This is a problem in Israel actually. Apparently it is socially acceptable for religious Jews to spit on Christians. It is bizarre. Pretty sure it is a very small minority that do that, but several of my friends that visited Jerusalem saw it happen and it shocked them.

However, as Christians we should ever be mindful that they are the race from which Christ came, and we should continue to pray for their salvation.

Indeed. I guess this is what is so infuriating. So many of us conservatives support the Jewish state and the Jewish people. When these European nations go through their anti-semetic episodes and look the other way while their "youth" go beat up Jews, it is American conservatives that make a big deal about how that should not be tolerated. Our thanks is for American Jews to promptly go vote for the political party that will do absolutely nothing to stop any of this and would abandon Israel in a heartbeat. It's like trying to be friends with someone who you know absolutely loathes you.

Jews don’t read the book; they read Christians. As far as they are concerned all gentiles (ie. Hitler, Stalin, etc.) are “Christians” (the Holocaust happened in “Christian” Europe) and therefore
“Christians” are anti-semitic.

However, if they do read it, they find how Jewish a book it really is.

Jews don't appreciate conversion attempts. Go and convert some Muslims they need it more. Since there are only 14 million Jews in the world they think Christian proselytizers should go convert others. You have a billion Muslims and at least one billion Hindus and Buddhists. So go work on them

I'm Jewish and not suspicious of Christians nor do I consider the New Testament anti-Semitic. If Christians consider Jesus divine and part of the Holy Trinity it does not bother me in the least plus it is 100% legitimate. Islam is different. It is a fake and evil religion cooked up by a false prophet. Jesus, Moses, Abraham are real prophets. Muhammad is a false one. The good Muslims are the ones who have minimal participation in Islam

Most Jews have zero problem with the New Testament. It is a non-issue, not on our radar. Why on earth would it be? the converse is not true. Christians read and study the Old and New Testaments through maybe they skim through the Old Testament to get to the good stuff?

Messianic Jews are viewed as traitors to their own religion and treated as such.

Kinda like a Christian from your own personal church converting to Islam and then constantly coming to your own Sunday services trying to convert everyone to Islam. And when it goes on and on and on for decades (different peoples at different times), you eventually get fed up with it and try to drive them off.

One of the reasons for hostility of the Chasidic sect is their origins primarily from Eastern Europe, where it was normal for pograms and forced conversions. My grandfather told me stories of when he was young in Poland and having him and his family beaten for being Jewish, and refusing to convert. He never would trust any Christians because of this.
