The Senate Judiciary Committee is taking up the nomination of Elena Kagan to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Judiciary Committee members and Elena Kagan are making opening statements and will move to the question and answer session beginning Tuesday. She will be introduced by Massachusetts Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Scott Brown (R-MA).
The committee plans four days of hearings with the questioning of the nominee Tuesday and Wednesday and outside witnesses on Thursday. If confirmed, Elena Kagan will replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens on the Court.
Wondering if she and Jon Lovitz were separated at birth?? Inquiring minds want to know! (snickerrrr...)The likeness is uncanny...
Ellen Degeneres
...*I’VE* never been a judge and I think I’d make an infinitely better Supreme than Kagen!
Here’s some examples that give some [of my] legal/Constitutional reasoning:

Franken is a village idiot.
Well he sure looks like the village idiot.
Lindsay made me want to puke.
Gay Lindsay must protect fellow Lesbo Kagan...
SC why did you do this to us ?
OK
I read the docs
You are right.
You’re elected.
And you would make an infinitely better Supreme Court Justice than this bull dyke Communist poseur.
Here are a few selected FReeper comments to date:
Chief Justice Roberts:
Kagan Asked Court to ‘Embrace Theory of First Amendment That Would Allow Censorship Not Only of Radio and Television Broadcasts, But Pamphlets and Posters’
In another article, titled Regulation of Hate Speech and Pornography After R.A.V, she writes, I take it as a given that we live in a society marred by racial and gender inequality, that certain forms of speech perpetuate and promote this inequality, and that the un-coerced disappearance of such speech would be cause for great elation.
Solicitor General Elena Kagan, President Barack Obamas nominee to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens on the Supreme Court, helped craft President Bill Clintons political strategy for sustaining his veto of the partial-birth abortion ban in 1997.
As a result of Clintons successful veto that year, the ban was not enacted until 2003, when it was signed by President George Bush.
I have more.
Are you referring to Lindsay or Elena?
Yeah ;-)
If you did a lineup you couldn't tell them apart.
THE GAYS HAVE NEVER HAD IT ANY BETTER!!! IF THEY DONT LIKE IT GO TO IRAN AND SEE HOW THEY TREAT GAYS!!!
This woman isn’t qualified to run a taco stand. Yet she will be ushered through. What a disgusting nation we have become.
She is but another personification of what makes up this entire lamearse Jack Squat administration — lack of experience and filled with academic idiots who think their education overcomes experience. See how them idiot academics are handling the oil spill, the economy, etc.?! Idiots-r-us administration.....
Had to turn off Fox News. I can only take so much ugly Kagan.
the fix is in.
slimes like Graham are totally ok with the liberal agenda and would sell their first born to win re-election in the name of personal political power.
Kagan is obviously a rampant leftist. Her settled law argument is just code for “abortion” but will play games to impose homosexual based marriage, special protections for leftists, and forced silence of conservatives and christians.
