I stood behind the GOP nominee last time and got Obama.

Any other brilliant advice you want to share?

Romney has an excellent chance of winning the nomination! Many FReepers, including myself, said that McCain had no chance of winning the 2008 nomination and look what happened.

Conservatives are dividing their votes way too much and while it’s ok to have two or three options we can’t get bogged down with 10 or 12 men and women splitting the vote while Romney cakewalks through the primaries on name recognition and a huge war chest.

"Shuckabee was a BIG reason we got McLame as our candidate and ultimately the Kenyan in chief"

Well, in the interests of historical accuracy, if it wasn't McCain, it would have been Romney, who also would have been beaten by Obama. The fact of the matter is there wasn't any Republican candidate running who had even a remote chance of beating Obama. And, I'm not so sure much would be different even if Romeny had prevailed in the primary, with respect to health care & spending.

However, Huckabee is one of the few Republican candidates who can't beat Obama in 2012.

I don’t know what drugs this dirtball uses, but in a lot of polls I have seen, he isn’t even listed at all.

“I’m the Republican that clearly, at this point, does better against Obama than any other Republican,” said Huckabee,

Well I saw him on Fox last night and I would say that he would most likely set a new High Point for Presidents of the United States.

That high point would be on the bathroom scale.

I think he might be able to beat William Howard Taft’s 350 pounds.

Saw this goof’s show on Fox recently.

Pathetic, moribund, weak.

The sum of the Republican Party.

"Seems to me that while all of the GOP, Conservatives and Tea Party people fight among themselves over who should be president, the nominee somehow gets picked in Iowa by a bunch of left leaning people. Isn’t that how we got McCain?"

Well said.

People should think about the point you made here.

I don’t like Romney and don’t want him to win, BUT if one is being objective he has a pretty decent shot of winning if it becomes a test of survival. Like him or not, Huckabee WILL get votes in the South, West and Midwest...and likely take them from Palin instead of Romney.

Romney could very well, as you say, pull a McCain and be the loser who wins by default as the rest of the voters split the pile.

I am certainly not saying it is a good thing, but I hope people realize we do NOT need a replay of 2008.

My dream picks for the 2012 primary are: Bachman, Bolton, Brewer, Liz Cheney, Coburn, DeMint, Inhofe, Jindal, and Palin.

My nightmare picks for the 2012 primary are: Hucklbee, Romney, McCain, Perry, any Bush.
