NEW YORK (AP) -- Constance McMillen said she considered backing down when school officials canceled prom after she asked if she could bring her girlfriend. But then the 18-year-old thought about the point she was trying to make.
"It's wrong for schools to do that, it's wrong to discriminate," McMillen told The Associated Press.

she actually reminds me of someone I know.
“And changing the state law will not help, since they will then file a federal civil rights charge...”
Oh, see now. But from what I read earlier in the thread it appeared that Constance had been granted to power by the State’s Constitution to cancel proms across the state.
Gee, I want to go in the altogether, painted orange on the top half and green on the bottom, with a gerbil protruding from the faggots' favorite orifice.
How dare they discriminate against me ? /sarcasm
Somebody needs to wise up this little lezzie.
They'll use her as long as they think she's newsworthy, then they'll dump her. When that happens, it will be doubly hard on her, because she won't understand why they aren't her 'friends' anymore.
She should be honored, it’s not everyday you get to be the marshal and one those oversized, attention whoring, hot air floats at the same time....
Does she play for the other team?
no.
Until they’re finished using her for propoganda purposes and move on to the next kid who decides to make a public issue of a possibly momentary confusion, thereby ensuring that the kid can’t takemit back even if they wanted to. Then Constance will be dropped faster than you can blink, and God help her if she caught up in something she’d like tontake back, because now she’s publicly labeled herself. That won’t be the queer lobby’s problem though, they got what they wanted out of her, she can go off herself for all they care after that, as long as she doesn’t do THAT publicly-wouldn’t lookmgood. They’ll have already moved on to the next confused teen victim.
Or, maybe she really deep down likes all this.
