NEW YORK (AP) -- Constance McMillen said she considered backing down when school officials canceled prom after she asked if she could bring her girlfriend. But then the 18-year-old thought about the point she was trying to make.
"It's wrong for schools to do that, it's wrong to discriminate," McMillen told The Associated Press.

She's an obese butch with an aggressive bull-dyke look.
Lesbians are a hoot for their idiotic comic value.
She looks like a freaking guy.
Well in some cases, they’re “Lesbians by Default”, since they’re too ugly to get a guy, and they know lesbians standard’s are much lower.
She’s definitely a deuce / deuce-and-a-half.
Tyranny by the minority

FWIW MS ping
My late mother always taught us not to call unwarranted attention to ourselves. She pointed out couples necking in public, and said it was just downright rude to make others feel uncomfortable.
Which brings us to the AP’s breathless worship of this young woman who ruined the prom for everyone else because she felt compelled to make a statement. And I’m aghast at the follow on accolades she’s received from the ACLU, the White House, Wanda Sykes, Ellen DeGeneres, the MSM, et al.
In my mind, she’s done nothing more than attack and crap openly on what we consider polite civilization. Should we also accommodate those who are into beastiality?
And before someone accuses me of being a homophobe, I do have gay family members and friends. But they have the good taste to keep private matters private, and not put them on public display. But gay activists are never content with just fitting into society, they want nothing less for the rest of society to wave a magic wand and declare homosexuality “normal.” Sorry, ain’t gonna happen.
This young woman should be ashamed of herself, not for being gay, but for using her sexual preference to ruin the prom for her classmates (and apparently without any remorse).
She discriminates against MEN!
Ban the discrimination!
[Dummies]
From what I've seen, most of them (exluding the lipstick lesbians) are overweight and unattractive social misfits. This one fits the mold but is at least presentable.
Her ‘girlfriend’ must be hard up.
No kidding - hard up for sure.
The mainstream media sure has made a national hero out of her, too.
According to the media, you’d think all of the so-called plight she’s “suffered” would be akin to a soldier spilling blood for his country. Unreal. These are strange times in which we live.
“It’s wrong for schools to do that, it’s wrong to discriminate”
No, it’s not. SSAD is a serious disorder. Pretending that it’s not is idiocy.
“My little school 40 miles North of this lesbos sphere has gotten out of the school prom because of this disease. Unfortunately, this lesbo attention whore has spoiled the privilege of high school proms forever.”
it is amazing how that homosexual agenda gathers power. First, a lesbian wishes to take another girl to her prom and now the State of Mississippi has given that lesbian the power to cancel school proms not only in her town but across the state.
I would think that Governor Haley Barbour and the Mississippi legislature would not permit this person dictate that schools should not have proms.
I suggest the people is Mississippi change their state’s constitution to take all of this dictatorial power away from Constance McMillen.
I think I would hit it.
Hasn’t she burned about 14:59 of her 15 minutes of fame?
Hope it’s a quick parade...
No they won’t gain acceptance, they will force acceptance and adherence to their gayocracy.
It is the law suits and the money it takes to fight them that cause small rural schools to bow out of the fight. They just can't afford it.
And changing the state law will not help, since they will then file a federal civil rights charge...
The only stopping this is in DC.
