Is it too much to ask to get some economists that can accurately project something?

coffee?
And, you know it will be revised downward later anyway.
I know their is a Captain Obvious cartoon, which I thoroughly enjoy, but perhaps its time to create a Captain Unexpected one for all the ‘Unexpected’ economic news.
We have some very creative people on this site.
The fourth quarter is going to be seriously affected by the Gulf oil spill.
There is first of all the huge impact on tourism and ocean industries such as fishing, boating, food service, etc. Then there is the direct impact of the fed shutting down thousands of jobs.
Finally, there is the bleak prospect of huge new taxes in January when conservative tax cuts are overturned by liberal democrats who refuse to extend them.
This economy is not just going to hiccup. It’s going to full regurg impulse.
A double dip will be evident by this time next year.
Average of 463,000 of jobless claims weekly....month after month...no end in sight.
“*drink*”
Sorry, but all these “unexpected” things are killing my budget! I can’t afford a bottle of Jack a day!
As much as I hate to say it, I am going to have to give up drinking or risk becoming a homeless drunkard. Oh wait, I will just be getting there before the rest of Amerika, if we keep this a$$hat in charge for much longer!
that is a great idea!
Water, actually, but it’s the thought that counts.
Wise observations.
Do like I do, don’t look at it anymore.....................
It’s been ‘invested’ in union built, contractor scammed Building America government progects. Your children will benefit.
Now, move along and if you have it, get to work, you are not past this years “Paid Off Taxes” day. You have months to go, and somewhere, some planner needs that cash.

Bah! The number is true only if you count Census takers going door-to-door as “durable goods manufacturing.” They are certainly durable pains in the ass based on the number of calls they made to the POF castle.
Where’s the “unexpected”?
I don't know how many of them it takes, but I know how many they were going to use. That's a handy piece of information to have, right there. (thanks to Ron White wisdom)
I am not an artist, so I am asking someone to create a cartoon using all these “unexpected” economic and other issues and have President Urkel asking, “Did I do that?”
Every time another “unexpected” news event, have him asking, “Did I do that?”
