Washington (CNN) -- A day after his disparaging comments about America's civilian leadership surfaced and dramatically struck a nerve in the White House, the top commander in Afghanistan has been relieved of his post.
President Barack Obama accepted the resignation of Gen. Stanley McChrystal "with considerable regret" and nominated Gen. David Petraeus, the head of the U.S. Central Command. The moves come in the wake of the revelation that Rolling Stone magazine would publish politically explosive remarks made by the general and his aides about key administration officials.
"It is the right thing for our mission in Afghanistan, for our military and for our country," Obama said outside the White House, flanked by top civilian and military leaders, including Vice President Joe Biden; Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Defense Secretary Robert Gates; and Petraeus.

"Deadliest month" isn't even the top headline, it's this little side point just snuck in there, like it's just an interesting little factoid.
For the ten billionth time since Obama was elected...what if this news happened while George Bush was president?
Of course, we don't need to even wonder--when such months did occur under Bush, it was the top story.
The same Gen. David Petraeus, whom Obama trashed in committee as a Senator not long ago.......
McChrystal is a warrior, not a pansy ass community organizer.
McChrystal spoke the truth at the wrong time and to the wrong venue.
Troops die unnecessarily when trying to fight a war with limitation parameters put in place, by the direction of our community organizer President who’d crap his pants as soon as he stepped of the bus at Coast Guard boot camp.

Has anyone dared suggest that Obama only relieved Mchrystal of his command because he was white?
Just seeing him talking today, I expected him to start screaming “I’m the commander-in-chief!” like the evil Captain Kirk in some Star Trek split-personality episode.
