FDNY probes defaced image of Obama at firehouse

NEW YORK (AP) ― The FDNY is investigating how a defaced image of President Barack Obama got on a toolbox inside a Bronx firehouse.

FDNY spokesman Jim Long told the Daily News Monday night that the matter was under investigation. He declined further comment.

The newspaper says the stenciled picture of the president with the word "believe" and then defaced with the word "hustler" in big red letters was discovered at Engine 45, Ladder 58 in East Tremont. Beneath the image, someone scrawled the words, "Allah Akbar," or "God is great" in black ink.

Curious if anti-Bush stuff is seen as “obscene” like this.

Of course not. Anytime there was criticism of the hatred for Bush, we were told that "dissent is patriotic". Remember Pelosi saying that?

Here's one of my biggest pet peeves with the enemedia these days:

"Allah Akbar," or "God is great"

"Allah Akhbar" does NOT translate to "God is great," because Allah is not the same as God. Allah is the god of Islam. The enemedia loves to conflate the god of Islam with the God of Isaac, Jacob, Abraham, and Jesus, but they are not, and cannot be the same.

You made me look that one up. Turns out Unabomber is derived from university and airline bomber. I had forgotten the airline part. On 15 November 1979, he placed a bomb in the baggage compartment of AA Flight 444. It fizzled, but 12 of 78 passengers needed treatment for smoke inhalation. The FBI believes it would have taken down the airplane, had the detonator worked properly.
