Sarah Palin says recreational pot smoking is "relatively speaking a minimal problem" in America.

"I think we need to prioritize our law enforcement efforts," she said. "If somebody's gonna smoke a joint in their house and not do anybody any harm, then perhaps there are other things our cops should be looking at to engage in and try to clean up some of the other problems we have in society."
Allen St. Pierre, the director of NORML, which supports liberalizing drug laws, said Palin's position on pot is perfectly in line with her identity as a politician.
"If you're a populist as she appears to be, it's maybe not that surprising," he told AOL News in a phone interview today.

They let pilots fly drunk. A punishment after the fact doesn’t prevent 25,000 from being killed in drunk driving accidents either. But in your mind we’re all morons, and you’re not...;)

The idea that pot is not very harmful is one of the most dangerous liberal myths of all time.
When former politicos take on the commentator role like Dick Morton or Mike Huckabee, they are announcing they are forevermore outside the game.
Every police department, large and small, better get their priorities straight and their entire force educated before the food riots start. Which they will. Then when they do, even the badge-heavy bullies will hopefully let the pot smokers alone and concentrate on the violence-perpetrators. As you know they should. Hopefully...

I guess it comes down to:
DO we want the government to be our parents to dictate what is right and what is wrong in every situation.
or
DO we want a very limited government as dictated by our constitution that stays out of our lives.
I’m not an advocate for either, but I have to agree. I’ve seen plenty of drunk people get all crazy and fight. The guy on pot will say, “Forget it man, let’s order a pizza.” I’ve never seen a person get belligerent on grass. I’m not going to feed you the line of crap that you drive better on pot than sober, I don’t believe that for a second, but I’ve never seen stoned people destroy things and fistfight.
Well in the grand scale of problems in the United States pot smoking in pretty low on my prioritys.

Do you know what smoking or eating Marijuana does to a person? It terminally dumbs them DOWN. Do we really need MORE dumbed down people? I don't think so and it must remain a priority.

I have NEVER watched American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. Both are a waste of time and attract idiots.
American Idol does something that I particularly find repulsive. It implies that you can get INSTANT fame and money without working for it. It's all part of the INSTAND GRATIFICATION and FEELING GOOD that you get from taking a toke and NOT dealing with reality.
Greatness is not achieved through American Idol or smoking DOPE. So again I ask, because DOPE, dumbs you down and shows like American Idol are toxic to a healthy person, should be wink at an ILLEGAL DRUG and accept it? I don't think so.
If people WANT to believe America Idol is okay - that is a difference of opinion. TO suggest we wink at an ILLEGAL DRUG that we KNOW is toxic to you, is worse. I really don't want more DUMBED DOWN people. There will be a social cost to it - instead of a clean needle campaign we'll have some other equally ridiculous program to fund.
As for American Idol, they crash and burn and the truth comes out that you have to work for it and be good to achieve long term success. The weakness of American Idol is righted through reality.
The weakness of marijuana use is not so easily rectified and becomes a social burden that AIDS THE LEFT. Marijuana use makes you lethargic, lazy and entitlement minded because users are unmotivated. Users live in a make believe world. Worse yet, marijuana users don't see the dumbed down effect it has on them. Sober people SEE it.
