Ending the longstanding busing policy, they fear, will re-segregrate schools and result in a high concentration of poverty, low-performing schools and high teacher turnover.

A high concentration of parental indifference to education, and a culture which denigrates the serious student rather than celebrating. This is a cultural problem on which 40 years of busing has had little impact.

I didn’t realize the expectation that children attend the school closest to their home was a form of segregation.

These nitwits need to stop behaving like animals and focus on building families with 2 parents.
