Gaza City, 16 June (AKI) - A Turkish pro-Palestinian organisation on Wednesday revealed plans to send another humanitarian aid flotilla to the Gaza Strip next month. The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Aid (IHH) told members of the European Parliament it had assembled six ships for the next flotilla and put out an appeal for others to join.
It is planning to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza after its last convoy was the target of a deadly raid by Israeli navy commandos in May.
Meanwhile, Israel on Wednesday issued a warning to Iranian and Lebanese activists who plan to send three more aid ships to Gaza later this week.
Attempts by the Iranians and Lebanese to break Israel's blockade of Gaza would be seen not just as a provocation and a breach of law, but as a "hostile" act because the ships and their cargo are from enemy states, foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor, told Israeli daily, Haaretz.
"They are under a different status," he said, referring to the earlier aid flotilla which was intercepted on 31 May.
Activists from European states including Turkey, Greece and Ireland were part of the flotilla intercepted by Israeli naval forces. Nine Turkish activists died when Israeli commandoes stormed one of ships that made up the flotilla.
Do these guys think before acting or just do the first thing that pops into their heads?
Take one large caliber weapon, park it’s naval platform at the edge of Israeli territorial waters. When said terrorist ship attempts to enter Israeli territorial waters, warn them once, then shoot the terrorist ship full of holes.
Stand back. Watch it sink. Slowly.
Gather up the floating terrorists, and imprison them.
Next?
Support Terrorism: Aid the Gazans.
Still won’t “fix” what Helen Thomas said this is all about, Jews in “arab land”. The dispute isn’t over “a” strip of land, it is over the existence of Israel altogether.
Is that North Korean?
HOZE-EM!!!
