Renee Ellmers
Renee Ellmers was born in Ironwood in Michigans Upper Peninsula; when she was a child her family moved to Madison Heights, near Detroit, where her father took a job in the auto industry. He worked with General Motors until he retired.
After graduating from Madison High School, needing to work her way through college, Renee trained as a Medical Assistant. For the next eight years, working full and part-time jobs, she attended Oakland University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
A year later, working as a Surgical Intensive Care Nurse at Beaumont Hospital she met her husband, Brent, a graduate of the University Of Indiana School Of Medicine.
After their son was born, while visiting family in Cary, Renee and her husband decided to move to North Carolina. Today she works with her husband as Clinical Director of the Trinity Wound Care Center in Dunn.
Renee is active in community affairs, having served as Vice President of Community Development for the Chamber of Commerce and as President Elect of the Chamber for the coming year. She has also served on the Dunn Planning Board, the board of the Betsy Johnson Hospital Foundation and the Harnett County Nursing Home Committee.
She volunteers at Cape Fear Christian Academy where her son, Ben, is a student, and teaches Sunday school at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Last summer she and her husband attended a Town Hall meeting to hear Congressman Bob Etheridge speak on behalf of President Obamas health care plan. Later, as a volunteer, she became an outspoken critic of government-run health care. She is now a candidate for Congress opposing Congressman Etheridge in North Carolinas 2nd District.
Donate tommorrow if you can to go along with the rally opposing the Etheridge assault on the college student.
Elmers should make an ad beginning, “Renee Elders is about to put herself at risk” then using the footaage of Etheridge beating up two guys for sking him why he supports the Obama agenda.
Good question, guys. So, congressman, why DO you support it? “And does this ad mean you’re going to beat me up too?”
“Who are you?” with that menacing drawl, needs to become a staple of advertising and a rallying cry as we approach November. And the answer needs to be “The people that will end your reign of terror”.
Good on her. A Yooper.

As of the last reporting period in mid April that Bob Etheridge wasn’t worried about how he treated his constituents.
Renee needs to even the score some, Sharon Angle, JD Heyworth, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, etc. Renee had only $5G on hand in April. I’m sure that’s went up but I doubt it’s sufficient to go toe to toe with Ethridge yet.

Ethridge...oh, he’s that d*ck that took out after that student film crew! Kick his @ss out!
An additional strike against Etheridge from today- the GOP forced a vote to repeal the Obamacare individual mandate, and he voted against it (along with Pelosi and crew):

If she REALLY wants/needs contributions, she’d make it possible to contribute via her website, instead of having to mail the payment to her office...
Great concept. You should send that idea to her website.
If you wait for the entire page to load it will provide you the opportunity to do just that.
BUMP
She’s got kachinga from me in her coffers. It’s my district, so I have a dog in this hunt. So to speak.
You have to scroll to the bottom of the page, she needs to move that up.
She also needs to do what Sharon Angle is doing and have a goal, maybe a small goal at 1st and something you can attain quickly like $50,000 and keep moving it up as you go.
Sharon is up to $1 million as a goal and needs about $120,000 to reach it which she probably will on Friday.
Thanks. I’ll send it along.
Of course, given the way the Republicans treated Joe Barton, she’d probably run afoul of the party if she used the idea.
