Bio-remediation is old technology and fine in certain circumstances....but I don't think this is one of them.

Watch the video at the link. Texas has already proven the workability of this technology on a Gulf oil spill.

Do we really want to introduce this microbe directly into an environment which has an as yet uncontrollable open tap? Once the leak is sealed off, then I can see this microbe’s usefullness. Not before.
