WE KNOW SHORTLY WHO IS TAKING OVER AND I SAY *THANK GOD*

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

AMEN, my friend!! Can’t wait!!!

Watching the oil at the bottom, you could see that the flow out the vents greatly increased. Hopefully soon we’ll see that flow drop back.

Too bad, in a couple more days they’ll have the secondary burner online, and it would have helped take some of the load when the primary production failed.

Some valid points made there. Got me convinced.

They hope to have a dual mobile riser set up before the hurricane season. Then they will have two ships processing, and when the hurricane gets too close, they will disconnect from the risers and move out.

During the hurricane, all the oil will just escape into the gulf. But it won’t tear up the well.

Offshore drilling has been going on in earnest since about 1947. So why hasn’t this happened before? What is unique about this place that puts that oil under so much pressure?

I think this is the first one that has gone so deep in the Gulf of Mexico. The depth is causing problems because humans can't get down there to work on it, so everything has to be done remotely. The physics of the pressure at that depth makes working on it difficult.

That's why shallow water, or land drilling is better; you can find solutions and implement them more quickly.

And there was another HUGH spill back in 1979, off the coast of Mexico. PEMEX, the national oil company tried to stop it, and it took 10 months before the relief wells were completed, and they started draining oil from the main area.

I read an article over the weekend, talking about what the writer figured would be the awful long term effects of the spill, and there weren't any, even on the Texas coasts, where a lot of the oil ended up!

So a lot of this gloom and doom that is being forecast is likely to end up just being drama. There HAVE been some bad effects; especially in Louisiana, in the marshes and the shrimp, crab and oyster beds, but I don't think it will be permanent, and I don't think it will be widespread environmental apocalypse, as the media is proclaiming right now.

Yes, it is. If this “worse case scenario” plays out......the oceans will rise for sure. Three feet of oil floating on top of the water. Just think about how many people this would affect. Could we survive it?

And Obama says he’s calling on the military to help solve this problem. Is this his “martial law” moment? Don’t be surprised with what he says tonight. I’m sure he knows more than he’s letting on. If this is the case and he told the world...man, what would happen?

I don’t know if you watched Lost, but the oil plume looks a hell of a lot like The Smoke Monster (Ol’ Smokey).

I was thinking about this over the weekend, especially when I read about the absence of long term environmental effects from the PEMEX spill of 1979.

The media's coverage of this reminds me of their coverage of the great Swine Flu Pandemic of 2009. These types of situations are great for the media, because they can hyperventilate for weeks on end. But as with the Flu coverage, there is very little SCIENCE in the discussion of the oil and its effects, and an overabundance of speculation.
