Washington, DC, Jun 14 - U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) released the following statement on the viral video which appeared on the internet today:
“I have seen the video posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse.”

It is long past time to sterilize the cesspool of DC. The tsunami is coming in November. Etheridge has thrown gasoline on the fire.
THanks for the apology. Now file assault charges.
I just called Etheridge’s D.C. office and asked them to explain his behavior. They referred me to the written apology on his website. I then asked if he was going to jail. I also told them I had e-mailed a link of the video to my congressman and suggested that Etheridge be censored by his colleagues. I also told them that I think the video is a perfect representation of how Congress feels about the voters.
Tell it to the judge, you bullying jerkwad.
Yup, this was a classic “do you know who I am, you peon?” situation.
I have seen the video posted on several blogs. Therefore, I can not lie my way out of this. I will offer a wussy apology and count on the mediewhores to ignore it and move on.
Democrats can’t support Obama. But it seems some are afraid to run against him because of the strings attached to their campaign. Thats called a CATCH 22. And this Bob guy went into fight or flight mode. and his relax was to fight.
I was reading the other day about the Dems are trying to repeat the success from 2008 by bringing David Plouffe back into the fold.
The problem is, a lot of those kids that voted for Obama are now living, eating and breathing in Obama’s America. And its becoming too expensive to do all three.
He can be sorry all he wants. He still committed Assault, Battery and likely Theft (presuming he did not return the cell phone).
Go to jail Bob. Go directly to jail.
Actually the crime committed is Battery. Assault would be the threat of force, Battery is actually using force, which he clearly did.

I could have written this after watching the video.
He’s done. Give it 2 weeks for the pressure to be applied. Then, either detox or anger management treatment, maybe he and Eric Massa can be room-mated.
