It certainly seems that they are trying to get a war off the ground in several parts of the world. I've felt that perhaps the reasoning behind this was to jumpstart the economy, and also to radically reduce youth unemployment by starting up a draft.

I have thought and considered those, and they might be the reason.
I just don’t think we can discount the Leftist’s hate of Israel, and their conviction that if Israel didn’t exist, then all would be right in the Middle East.
Liberals are like the kid that starts a little fire in field for their own reason, not looking ahead beyond stage one (as Thomas Sowell puts it) and are surprised when the wind suddenly whips up and starts a conflagration.
They cannot think beyond stage one.
Remember the Sixties Radicals and their "Pull it down, pull it all down" chants? They were referring to democracy and capitalism.
Any guess who is winning?
Obama would love a war there and here.
Now what to watch for?
First look for who is moving money:
Some say the Vatican has the best intel system in the world, while others say the Mossad has them beat.
But in reality, the Asians (Chinese) have them all beat. Notice the Asians in Singapore started moving all of their gold to Canada in 1940, because they knew the UK's "Fortress in the Pacific" was a total crock and it would never hold against a Japanese assault. Heck even Churchill thought it would withstand the Nips.
Bottom Line: their are some real bad things on the Horizon.
Wheels are turning and I don't believe they can be stopped.
It’s the best opportunity for martial law here in the soon-to-be-erstwhile USA.
I warned my daughter and her friends about this possibility. That with all of Obama’s desire for a ‘civilian police force’ that he’d turn it into a draft before long, and simply require kids to be indoctrinated and work for the ‘the State’ for a year or two... I don’t think it would take much for Obama to want to ‘thin the herd’ more, by drafting them into the REAL Military and sending them out with ridiculous ROEs.
China is probably itching to ‘get rid’ of a few hundred thousand men for whom there are no wives to be found, too. But China and Russia will prod along the problems in the Middle East for a little while, first... Why lose all your own people when there are other idiots around willing to die for theirs, and it still accomplish your goals of bringing down the US and her allies (and the Commies, I’m sure, view the Islamics as weak in a lot of ways and I’m sure they plan on being able to overtake them after the US is out of the picture).
At least that’s my take on things... Any way you slice it, it’s all bad.
