The family didn't "PUT" their daughter in anything. She was a cognizant part of the decision to attempt this feat. She didn't succeed, but she tried and deserves a great deal of credit for that. She made it a heck of a lot farther than the "adult" critics on this thread would have gone. And she certainly had the ability to make the trip.
And besides, who's daughter is she - the family's daughter or the government's daughter? Many here think that the state has higher authority than the family (including her). I disagree with that. If she'd have died, then the family would have to live with the consequences. It would be no skin off your back or mine, nor that of the government or society in general.
