Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defences to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Irans nuclear facilities, The Times can reveal.
...
sources in the Gulf say that Riyadh has agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran.
...
Questioned on the option of a Saudi flight path for Israeli bombers, Aharaon Zeevi Farkash, who headed military intelligence until 2006 and has been involved in war games simulating a strike on Iran, said: I know that Saudi Arabia is even more afraid than Israel of an Iranian nuclear capacity.
...
Both governments have denied the reports.

Ooooo...that’s gonna leave a mark....
Interesting.
Step into my parlor said the spider to the fly.
Saudi has no desire to see a nuclear Iran.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” -—
If a Sunni power wanted to build nukes, and that power was friendly to Saudi Arabia, it might be different.
Even Islam Arabs believe that Islam Arabs would use the bomb on their own people.
Come to think of it, I don’t recall the Saudi’s piping up during the recent Gaza blockade dust-up.
I suspect the Islamic Arabs are more concerned that the Islamic Persians would us it on them
Well, that’s a well kept secret...That kills that plan...
Poor assessment!
The Saudi’s are as afraid of a nuclear Iran as anyone.
The only question is whether a public declaration is more effective than quiet permission.
Zatso? Let Israel destroy Iran’s immediate nuclear threat, and then nail ‘em on the return trip when the Israeli pilots are tired, have depleted weapons and fuel stores and their formations are somewhat scattered and disorganized.
Then blandly assert that you had no reason to be on high alert until reports of bombing trickled in from Iran, and you then went on high alert just in time to punish the cowardly Jooooooooooooooos when they attempted to skulk back across your airspace.
Kills two birds with one stone, no?
No!
Clearly you have no concept of the Saudi’s pitiful military.
This is not a board game.
It isn’t as though Israel wouldn’t detect and report the threat to their Command and Control structure.
The Saudi’s simply aren’t brazen enough to implement your ploy.
They know how Israel responds to such war making acts.
“The only question is whether a public declaration is more effective than quiet permission.”
Perhaps being open puts more pressure on Iran to straighten up?
True that. Still, I can’t help but speculate on the depths of perfidy these satan worshipers are capable of.
Even taking out a few Israeli jets after claiming to have misidentified them (They were coming from Iran, we thought they were Iranian! Oopsies) would play well on the Arab street.
How well would the House of Saud coöperating in killing muslims play?
Perhaps. Iran has a long history of responding well to pressure, doesn’t it?
