Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defences to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran's nuclear facilities, The Times can reveal.
In the week that the UN Security Council imposed a new round of sanctions on Tehran, defence sources in the Gulf say that Riyadh has agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran.
To ensure the Israeli bombers pass unmolested, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defence systems not activated. Once the Israelis are through, the kingdom's air defences will return to full alert.
"The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way," said a US defence source in the area. "They have already done tests to make sure their own jets aren't scrambled and no one gets shot down. This has all been done with the agreement of the [US] State Department."

Add to that the Iranians consider the House of Saud to be something akin to heretics.
Add to that the whole Sunni vs. Shia thing on top of the ethnic rivalries between the Persians and the Arabs.
The Saudi royal family wants to toe the line between Islamic and Westernized. It’s good for business.
Or, for those of us who can’t reconcile the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture with scripture, this war could be the trigger for the rise of the Antichrist, who will make a peace treaty between the Islamic world and Israel.
Isaiah 30:27-33 gives us a clue — the Antichrist is from the former kingdom of Assyria, which includes much of modern-day Turkey.
Turkey’s been in the news a lot lately. Remember that it was the head of the Ottoman Empire, which controlled the region for centuries and was the head of the Islamic world. The Ottoman Empire fell apart, but many want to revive it.
What better way to unite the Islamic world than a stunning attack on Iran and possibly a following regional war?
The earliest known commentary on Revelation, from about 250 AD, identifies “the Assyrian” (Asshur) in the Isaiah passage as the Antichrist.
The countries described in the “Gog-Magog war” are the same ones described in Revelation, and both end with the Messiah coming to pour out his wrath. The wrath is not the tribulation, but is the second coming of Christ.
I believe that the Gog-Magog war and the war in Revelation are not two different wars, but rather the same war.
The Orthodox Jewish blogs are expecting the Gog-Magog war soon. Our Jewish friends believe that that the Messiah will intervene, punish the Assyrian and his people, and restore the world.
By the way, this is nothing to divide on. I came to this conclusion after 20 years of heavy study and have found that many others now believe the same. If I’m raptured before the tribulation, I’m not going to argue theology with Jesus on the way up.

My thinking is that Israel will start the war, “forcing” us, Britain and France to finish. Israel will willingly be made to look like the scapegoat for our interests. We all want Iran disarmed, President Obama doesn’t want to look like a hawk, so he will let Israel start it and then claim that we had no choice but to finish the job to contain what would otherwise be escalation in the region.
PRAYERFULLY, all those who truly seek God are ready for HIS appearing.

There are purportedly an additional few to several completely ‘unheard of’ weapons systems the Israeli’s may bring to bear on it, as well.
Lots of exotic things are going to be loosed on the world in the not too distant future, imho.

I’m still skeptical that the two wars are the same.
I’m still quite skeptical that the pre-trib Rapture is not true.
Nevertheless, I don’t plan to argue theology with God, either.
He has promised to never leave me nor forsake me and to take me ultimately to be more intimately and thoroughly with Him wherever He is. That will be sufficient. He alone is my high tower, defense, provision, all in all.
