Odd. Not making a stand in the Governor's race in his home state? He can endorse Lindsay Graham over a Conservative challenger, even co-chairing his campaign, but has nothing to say in this race? Odd, indeed

He just lost a little of his luster with me.

Not much... just a little. When he doesn't have a problem standing by a candyass like Graham, but hesitates to endorse Haley, who is running against the "TARP Baby", he looks weak to me.

he supports the good old boy in the race, but won’t endorse because the lady is likely to win and he will come off as a loser. he is between a rock and a hard place and is would love to slink off into the sunset trying not to attract any negative publicity.

When I was Republican county chairman we had a policy of not endorsing in a contested primary. I still think it was a wise policy.

For me, it's not whether he endorses Haley or not (for the record, I support Haley), but it's just being a leader and either (1) taking a position for his friend Barrett or for Haley, or (2) getting Barrett to give it up which would be best for the SC GOP.

Instead he votes 'present' and ensures 2 more weeks of smears. That is not leadership.

It has been DeMint’s position for a very long time that he only gets involved in Senate races. He refused to endorse candidates for the House and the state before the primaries and won’t do it for the run off’s.
